  2. Don't look at each other and wince when you mess up a bit. Chances are most or all of the audience weren't aware of your mistake and you just told them.
  3. I had of these over 30 years ago - it was the most resonant bass I ever owned, and it played beautifully and sounded amazing ! The only reason I sold it was that I stopped playing (for 11 years) and only kept one bass.. This looks like a beautiful example of Mike Tobias's work and is no doubt, going to make it's new owner very happy! GLWTS 👍😊
  4. What a fantastic find, congratulations John 😎
  5. Location: Teesside (N.E.)
  6. That's why I put the Amazon link...

  8. We were in Worcester last night supporting Old Skool Punx The Samples at The Marrs Bar. We were somewhat under rehearsed - drummer played the 2 songs he started at far too low a tempo. The fastfunkypunky one still worked mostly OK, but the straightahead 3 chord punk thing became something completely different - like a stoner-doomfest where we all had to improvise to make it work and surprisingly, it did! Might play it that way again - left loads of room for me to do ringing arpeggios'n'stuff. And at one point I completely lost sound - rather than stop I reasoned that it was just my onstage monitoring and all was fine out front. Turned out that because I was cramped in front of my amp which was on the floor I'd stepped on the lead., FOH was all there and no-one had noticed apart from me and guitarman next to me! We had a reasonable crowd - maybe 60-70 which wasn't bad considering it was a late replacement for GBH who were meant to be playing... And rather than the pitchforks and flaming firebrands the crowd normally chase us out with we even gathered some more followers and a bloke said I played like Phil Lynott (??last time someone said I played like that geezer from Mudvayne so who knows??) Gear was Sandberg Basic-Helix-BBEpre-Crown Power-2x10 Markbass with lovely new Pinegrove strap who I've just discovered are only a few hundred metres from my work! Shoes were TUK creepers, trews were snakeskin jeans.
  9. Listening to. “The Covid Enquiry”. Cannot wait for their second album.
  10. BBE Opto Stomp Optical Compressor This is an early one with the blue led. It's in pretty good condition with a few marks from age and use. Works of a battery or a 9v PSU. Comes with original box and bits n bobs. They're on Fleabay for £150 odd but that's daft money so it's up here for £75.00

  11. The Ampeg sound may be revered but the looks made the Linear Concord look good. The cab looks OK but the head looks like it was built from someone’s parts box. Of course beauty or sexiness is in the eye of the beholder.
  12. I'm happy with Nov 9th
  13. Could you make a short article here about it, please?
  14. Krivo still available 👍
  15. How about £600 each or £1000 for the pair, I've better things I could be using the cash for at present 👍
  16. Likewise to a degree. I'd never go out of my way and spend top dollar on such things. This was something I stumbled across, took a punt on as it was priced less than the value of the guitar itself, then did the research on and found out it has some quite amazing signatures. Scott Rowley, who was the Chief Editor for Classic Rock Magazine (who ran the event) has responded this morning essentially confirming it's legitimacy (and offering to help ID the last 3 or 4 signatures) as he signed it himself, which gives me a great trial of provenance along with the pictures of Alice, Steven, Francis, Rick, Ian Hunter and Lisa Ronson holding the guitar. I've no desire to sell it, I think it's unbelievably cool and something I want to hold on to.
  17. I Want A New Drug - Huey Lewis & the News
  18. This is awesomely chaotic! Love it!
  19. If that was a 5 string, I’d be posting to say that I wish I could afford it! 😂👍
  20. Buy it ... that's no brainer.
  21. I already teach pickup winding at my workshop fairly regularly - a few more folks through our hallowed portals won't cause an issue 🙂
  22. @lurksalot Intense. I wasn't sure at first, but the sound is good so kept going. I did get drawn in. The intensity starts to lower and then picks us a bit harder. The drums are done well. They have a live energy about them, that must have taken a lot of fiddling. The performance is unique and holds it's own style. It left me feeling like I'd experienced something. Lots of points awarded for that alone.
  23. Used Orange Crush 15 guitar amp. £25 collected from Torquay.
  24. Fantastic clean sounding active DI box. £45 including UK postage.
