  3. That's my experience when doing this comparison
  4. Woodstock Audio are giving away a Compressor plugin that offers visual feedback of what it is doing to your signal. A useful way to learn about compression as well as having a graphical representation over and above a set of level indications. No account or serial needed. https://woodstockaudio.com/products/waveform-compressor
  5. I have 4 I’ve owned for 10+ you focus on the revolving door of 5+ too much 😉
  6. +1 for this. When I had to learn it I got the gist of it and then used various bits and bobs from some of the live renditions and isolated bass tracks on youtube to fill it out and keep it bubbling along. You can really go to town with it!
  7. I couldn’t play with any kind of rings on any of the fingers on my left hand. Fortunately I’m not married so wouldn’t have to try to explain removing a wedding ring to play my bass.
  8. … well I’ve tried it and it’ll knock off the Grizzly Bass on my fretted board for the moment. Not compared it to anything else, but like what I hear and how it makes the bass feel under the fingers. I actually don’t like that much cab sim applied (takes off too much high end), and like a bit of grit to the sound when mild gain applied. With the comp I’ve tried it with (Greer Lamplighter Optical comp) I think I actually prefer it with minimal or nil compression. Got other compressors to try with it though. Will be interesting to compare it to the Slampegg and Beta Mk 2 at some point (and the TC Spark and Mojo Mojo for less expensive variants!). Glad I bought it thankfully 👍🏻
  9. MNY

    Feedback for MNY

You’re welcome John, Much obliged to you for your super prompt payment. Glad the pedal arrived safely. All the best.
  10. 😱 there is no such bass. You lie like a “friend” of an ex-ambassador
  11. That’s a bass I’ve owned for 10+ years 😉
  12. I like my Two Notes "Le Bass". Does the lot. One way or another. 2 separate channels of distortion; a really fast one with what seems like a passive tone stack, and a more comprehensive one which has a mid-sweep and mid control. You can have bypass. A, B, A/B parallel and A+B series with an added balance control. Still doesn't best the Ampeg SVP-PRO. If only its drive were switchable....
  13. haha, that was my 1st thought too!!😁
  14. For five minutes or so @AndyTravis … oh - you mean the ring 🤦‍♂️
  15. Today
  16. I’ve never really given it any thought. It’s just there…
  17. There's always a solution...
  18. In my experience, for commission sales they ask how much you want your bass to be listed for when you bring it in, so that price possibly came from the owner.

  20. It is a factory fretless, yes. So would be a very delicate job, I'd assume. Yes, with the bend well it's a 32" scale as standard.
  21. Might need to relabel the fingerboard.
  22. Is this a factory fretless? Has to be a short scale, because of the Bendwell.
  23. Just listening to it right now, Kraftwerk meeting latin music, still excellent after all these years. Sometimes rediscovering his own discotheque is great.

  25. Guys, Guys, listen... We picked up a nice, but very oddly spec'd Status S2-Classic 5 today and we're looking to get the lined fretless neck fretted. Obviously most Luthiers won't even go near a graphite neck with a fret hammer, but if you know of a brave one with nerves of stainless steel (like his frets!), please do let me know!
