    I bought this a couple of years back and did it up. It was professionally set up and restrung but I am just not using it. We were playing 80s alternative songs on folk instruments BUT I quickly got sick of taking several instruments to gigs and seem to have settled on using less. I added the fitted case, bought brand new from Gear 4 Music. The action is pretty decent and these are loads of fun / easy to play. I have it strung G-D-A-E but you can tune it C-G-D-A or like the top 4 strings of a guitar. Happy to meet Swindon - Newbury way which can be discussed via DM. Thanks for looking.

    Another thing - the curriculum for music teaching in uk schools centres around ukuleles and guitars. I get the three string idea but I think that these aren't ideal.

    Hi @Big_Sam. You have had masses of good advice about how to get the sound you want out of your BF cab. At the risk of muddying the water, I have discovered that the old school tone I wanted out of my rig, is not necessarily the sound that gets you heard in the mix. Now you might be happy with being a rumble in the mix but it can also be a muddy mush, especially in a space with difficult acoustics. I have been surprised by how much different my “on stage” tone sounds out in the room. Since getting a wireless system, I have had the opportunity to walk out in front to hear what the audience are getting and it can be quite different to what you hear close to the rig. I am now prepared to put up with a bit more high-mid and top end just to get a bit more clarity out front. Anyway, I just offer that as a thought, which you can completely ignore 😀. BTW, I have a Barefaced Two10 and 2 LFSys Monzas, the latter being more akin to your Super Compact but even more FRFR. The audience can hear the Monzas very well, the Two10 not so much without some upper EQ tweaks.

    I've not seen these before, and would be interested to know the educational thinking behind the 3-string idea. Quality-wise they seem ok (as much as I can tell from a photo). Bit pricey though I think. Probably best to go for the 6+ range and let her grow into it. Notwithstanding the flash cards and app, OP should still be prepared to spend time with her (IMHO, obvs.). It would be good to monitor progress regularly even if she seems happy with the app and cards. As I said before I think, most bad playing habits are acquired early and can be a pain to unravel further down the line. As always, just my opinion.

    If buying different tips, measure the diameter of the 'speaker' part they fit on as the hole in the tip come in different sizes. I've not checked when buying off Amazon and got ones too small.
