Once had a Lakland DJ5, mainly used for home use, it had awful hum so I took it back to the dealer. He played with it all day, couldn't find a problem with it so I took it back and said I'd give it another go. Turned out to be a particular light fitting in my bedroom..........d'oh.

Just discovered this one, was following along with baited breath waiting for the finished article, but the photos stopped working on page 7! Argh!

Good to hear, cheers matey. I can definitely hear the loss of low end from mis-matched impedance if I ever plug straight into an amp - so I fear the same plugged into low impedance wireless. My Line6 acts like a pre-amp between piezo and amp, and I get a richer warmer sound because of it. I'll let you know if the Joyo compares favourably! I take your point about aluminium/rock and roll etc 😁! But I do find that having a good rich signal to start with can make a real difference to EQing and cutting through mix.

Darkglass have released a video demonstrating the new blocks. I have to say, the Sansamp and Big Muff sound great.

The bass on the right has a far worse offense going on: laminations in the center of the body to imply a neck-through-body construction, when in reality there is a bolt-on neck - and it's not even laminated the same as the body core! Can't stand it. -

Sadly a judge will have to go by the guidelines and it is likely that all of his past, spent convictions won't be taken into account because of the timeline. TBH that is probably why he is being taken to court for such a small time frame; were they to actually act upon some of his actions documented on here, then he'd be in the realms of committing crimes whilst still serving his 2 year suspended! His solicitor has likely come to an agreement that they'll not contest the action if he is only tried for a small number of cases in a recent time frame!

You're only just into double figures. -
I'm still using my Lekato bugs at every gig, and I bought a second set so that I can use them for both DB and electric bass. I haven't measured input impedance and, in truth, I suspect it makes very little difference. If I was recording an album using a bass borrowed from Paul Chambers then maybe. Playing an aluminium DB to a full dancefloor at a rock'n'roll Club it simply isn't an issue.

EMG's don't have an earth wire. -
I ran it through spectrum analyser! Fundamental notes were identical, but some harmonics peaks were missing with Joyo compared to cable. Plus it just sounded a bit ... emptier in the high-mids. But like I say, could've been how I was playing it. I also played some single notes and the spectrums were pretty much identical, to be fair.

Maths is maths and improved horizonal dispersion is the effect of having a vertical array of single cones. You also get less beaming - you know when you walk in front of a cab and it gets louder and quieter in places - that's because sideways stacked cones are cancelling each other out. I'd go vertical for that reason as well as it being closer to your ears. Obviously if the PA is doing all the work then it doesn't matter as long as you can hear yourself.
