  5. Is that true? 4.5 isn't available for another month? Do we have an exact date for the release yet?

  7. Found the below just now on Instagram, seems to be a post from the official Schecter Instagram account, from August last year, so not nearly as new a development as what I thought … https://www.instagram.com/p/DNtZoLqZHaV/ Mark

  9. @Andyjr1515 unless I am mistaken it's the bass in this thread, so it looks as though there isn't any fake MoP.
  10. I had pretty much given up trying to get a 3 Leaf as they weren’t, until recently, available to order. Even then, the pre-orders were $100 dearer 🤷‍♂️. They also tend to sell out very quickly when they do go live and were only on sale when I wasn’t available. I managed to pick one up used and it was worth the wait. I have tried almost all of the ones you have mentioned @Kebabkid and this one is staying - for now.
  11. Mine were both 36" scale too. AFAIK all the 5-string versions and the C-bass were. I don't think the 34" scale versions are much shorter overall since most of the additional scale length of the 36" scale basses was achieved by moving the position of the bridge back as far as it would go on the body.
  12. Hi all, It was a total coincidence, but the day before this thread appeared, I PM'd @Andyjr1515 to ask his advice on the possibility of me having a go at replacing a trussrod in my own Squier P5 neck. The advice he has given me plus all of the info, pics and videos he has added to this thread have been amazing and I thank him profusely for taking the time to politely enlighten me into what I will be getting myself in for. I am still not convinced I have anywhere near the patience, steady hands or tools to do this, but it's now a spare neck, so not the end of the world if I do screw it up. Thanks again Andy, and I will continue to follow this thread for any other hints and tips (and advice not to bother)........
  13. Yup. After a life crisis, me burnt-out and heavily depressed, I bought at least one bass, amp, cab or multi-effects unit each month, for 36 months. Desperate nights and a finger on a mouse button ... Since, I've become a bit healthier, and am now more able to fight this. Not perfectly yet, but I'm slowly getting there.
  14. Well now im going to have to. I assume they butcher it.
  15. Yeh, and guess which one I have been looking for, the only bass I want to drop tune!

  20. Roughly speaking, it's equivalent to 'you idiot'.
  21. My brother's manager at work has a saying. We've all been there, somebody suggests something and nobody else in the room cares enough to either say yes, say no, or offer another solution. Ambivalence in the meeting. So my brother's boss will say "silence is consent" and wrap up the meeting. I kind of get what he means in a work context, but also maybe we could change that phrasing a little here man.

  23. I think I had a full sheet cut into four, one is going to be a sprayt booth, I built two cabs and I have one quarter uncut, so I could make a 3rd 8" speaker OR a 6" House Jam or I could just leave it in the garage to rot away So I think 1220 x 1220 is half a 8" x 4" ft sheet so you should get two out of them. If you do cut them yourself, then I would change one or two dimensions by 2mm or so. It makes zero difference to the volume but makes cutting a little easier. There's something on this in the thread where I discussed it. Basically make the sides 276mm wide rather than 274mm wide, and the top/bottom 276mm rather than 274mm. This extra 2mm should be at the front of the cab and so the volume doesn't change but the 'lip' sticks out 2mm longer. Just easier to cut and thats the only difference. You get an extra 2mm to drop a grill in as well, but thats negligible. My second cab is cut that way from memory,
  24. Do yourself a favour - do NOT watch the episode with the "restoration" of a vintage Fender Jazz.
  25. Solid choice, but quite a jump in budget. However, that’s one you could hang on to indefinitely, a proper quality bass that (I had a 55-02 a few years back). Right then, time to break out BC’s favourite emoji…
