  2. Bass number 5 will SHOCK you.
  3. Scott's Bass Lessons next vid: "Why Boutique Basses Crush Everything!"
  4. does it include the 10 most difficult bass lines ever on a boutique bass and come with an AI photo of a lady in a very tiny bikini?
  5. Here are ten reasons why it's the end for boutique basses. Number six will shock you.
  6. Not sure if brands like Sandberg count as boutique, but if they do I can’t see them fading out.
  7. Thanks guys for your comments. I've seen one on ebay and another on Fb Market place but currently too many miles away (>100), plus some I know will have horrible little roads. I will keep my eyes open then. Thanks too for the "active only" comment, I did wonder.
  8. Evil Woman - ELO
  9. I've owned this from new, it's unmodified, pro set up by Crockett Guitars, TI Jazz flats fitted in excellent condition. The bass is unmarked as far as I can see and in mint condition, ready to gig. Complete with Gator hard case, original case candy and Gibson strap. Reluctant sale as it is a really lovely instrument but it isn't getting played so it can move to a new home. Cash and Collection only, from Faversham.

  10. Rehearsal last night with the latest band that I've been recruited to. We're doing a one hour set at a beer festival tonight and we have a fairly sketchy grasp of the songs, so that should be fun. It's a very odd set list, which sadly includes All Right Now but there's a lot of unusual and unknown (at least by me) songs that should ensure that no follow-on bookings ever happen.
  11. @bassist_lewis I wonder if this thread is dead? Could you please say a couple of words about the new Jive? Best regards Kristian
  12. Wow, I’ve been thinking about getting a 5/er Precision and they are few and fat between, and that is stunning 👍
  13. Barts are such a great pickup. These are a great price for a 5 string pair. Too bad these aren’t Bart 8s on a p bass 4 string i would snap them up. GLWTS
  14. Boutique instruments have been around for hundreds of years, Steinway (from 1853), Stradivarius (from late 1600's) etc. Boutique basses will always be in production.
  15. I don't suppose you ever travel south? Id snap these up in a heartbeat but won't be in the North East until Xmas and its unlikely my wife will have left a single cubic inch of space in the car at that point.
  16. Hi If you look on youtube there are lots of isolated drum tracks available eg https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=isolated+drums
  17. I doubt that custom or boutique instruments will ever go away given that they have been in mainstream usage for over 50 years now. And you should be glad that they exist, because the alternative would be people like me hacking vintage instruments apart to get them to do what we want.

  19. Gigged one the other day! Shame that they’re not getting as much use and love as deserved 😖
  20. Can’t believe this is still here. Such a great bass to play. Want, but can’t commit. Please help take it off my radar.
  21. Have no idea.🤷🏽‍♂️ Not really prepared to mess with anything. A quick clean sale is preferable….
  22. All unused, top quality sets. Double ball ends but possibly can be used for shorter basses. 37” length. (I could use the outer strings on my standard scale bass but would rather sell as sets). * Newtone 5 string sets x 6: Diamond Bass, hex core, stainless steel, 46-130, length 37” (ball end to ball end) with tapered B. £25 each (discount for multi purchase) ( I also have a Hot Wires 5 string flat wound set…pm me)
  23. Now on eBay, £10 starting bid, no reserve.
  24. Should be good as the string spacing is meticulously adjusted making it easy to press the strings! Or as always when you see a page layout like that, you could just then go to aliexpress and find the same thing for £200 https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007340673672.html
