  2. Look, I know we're not supposed to post Gumtree links, so I won't, go look yourself, but there's a very nice, decently priced 1985 one up for £8k in Hounslow. Save yourself a few £££. Look for it yourself.

  3. No, but wouldn't a fake name solve the issue?

  5. Lovely looking bass - especially the colour. I’ve long admired these. I play an early passive BB5000 and am wondering if anyone has direct experience of how these compare? GLWTS CB
  6. Have you ever been in a band with someone so publicity-shy they don’t even want to be introduced to the audience? Asking for an anonymous friend…😁
  7. I also picked up one when they were heavily discounted at Gear 4 Music. I also opted for the extended warranty based on reports of qc issues. Mine seems perfect for now. Hopefully it stays that way! Just got these preset packs which are fantastic. I can’t rate them enough!
  8. I now have said 12 string and this is now £400.
  9. Gotta love a USA Sterling, a better all rounder than a stingray in my humble opinion.
  10. Pride and Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughan
  11. Today
  12. Ur So Gay - Katy Perry
  13. I think I have just worked out what this might be! Only two weeks late 😁
  14. This is a vocal line, not bass, but listen to the first 22 seconds. The note she finishes on catches folks every time.
  15. Problem solved. I’ve decided to put the bass for sale and I was about to bring it to a tech to see what’s going on. However I tried pluggin it into a different amp (a friend’s Trace Elliot Elf) and to my surprise it was totally quiet. So I tought it should be something into my amp system. My cab, an Accugroove Tri112L, has two tweeters: both were set at 100%… as I dimed those to 50% the noise was gone, even if I stand in front of the amp!
  16. Gorgeous bass, and that looks even better in the flesh. GLWTS.
  17. Hello, I'm selling my Fender Jazz Bass, which was built in 1996 for Fender's 50th anniversary. The bass has the typical features of a '62 model: an alder body, a maple neck, and a wonderful rosewood fingerboard. Unfortunately, the beautiful grain doesn't come across properly in the pictures. The bass is very resonant and has the '60s Jazz Bass tone you'd expect. It weighs 3.95 kg. The case shown in the photos unfortunately belongs to a different bass. Price is £950/1090€

  18. I'd keep the original Greco TRC on it; it's more authentic that way. Anybody who knows Rics will spot it's a faker and anybody who doesn't won't know or care about the brand anyway.
  19. I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.
  20. Thanks, Dan. I was thinking along those lines too. No one sells them up here in Edinburgh, so I’d have to order online. A decade ago I had the Double 4 for a couple of years before having to sell stuff for quick cash, so I know the quality of the instrument. I’m just wondering if advances in technology makes the Nano a contender for a desk-top amp, which is all I need. I suppose I could order the Nano, and return it if I don’t like it, but that’s such a hassle. Not having a Line Out counts against it.
  21. Oooh - that’s nice…
  22. I'd buy that... Wonder how much it costs to run. Glow plugs are a bit small so should be cheap
  23. I'm Coming Out! -Diana Ross
  24. Cleanin’ Out My Closet - Eminem
  25. Filthy - Justin Timberlake
