  2. Bought Tim's Lakland 55-02 off him today and it's a lovely thing! He very kindly offered to meet halfway and took one of my TC 2 x8 cabs in part ex. Thanks agaim Tim. The bass is superb. Really appreciate you holding it for me. Cheers! Keir
  3. I agree @ped, it’s become an arms race, especially in terms of amplification
  4. Shiny Happy People - R.E.M.
  5. TRBs are fabulous instruments 👍
  6. Great condition Hellx LT complete with Diago showman pedalboard which does a great job of protecting it. The LT is in full working order and minimal signs of use. Factory reset and up to date firmware. I also have the original box up in the loft if the purchaser wants it! The case is well worn, I bought it second hand and used it extensively with other pedals before the helix went in it, but it's perfect for the job and still has space for external pedals, wireless etc Collection from Chelmsford. Only selling as I need to physically downsize to a StompXL or similar (Anagram quad cortex etc) to gain some stage space. Might consider a trade/PX some something smaller!
  7. Wonderful! I also wish i still had my first TRB5II in Amber. It was my first proper bass, after starting out on an old Japanese Condor Jazz Bass. I bought it new around 2003 and loved it. I sold it after getting a used luthier-made 5-string with a 34" scale, which suited me better than the TRB's 35" scale, but I did end up missing it somewhat. I later had a used trans blue one for a while, but sold that when I got a Stingray 5. I have fond memories of both TRB's though, they were incredibly solid and sounded fabulous.
  8. I feel obligated to say buy this purple one and let the rest take care of itself
  9. HOW many steps?
  10. Doing a Sunday afternoon on the old Renfrew Ferry,Glasgow Tickets £5 or £19.95 with 2 course lunch!
  11. Thank you. Yes, i feel it's a good price for an instrument of this pedigree and versatility
  12. I’ve had a US 55/94 and it was great no doubt, but these are easily 90% of the way there, there’s an awfully large premium on the 55/94’s when the electronics are identical so they sound no different, the difference is the neck. The U.S. Lakland necks are really amazing, but they’re not worth and extra 2-3 grand - I think it says more about how good the Skylines are than anything negative about the U.S. ones.
  13. Nope sadly that’s too heavy, ideally circa 20kg is my aim or less
  14. Yes, it's Japanese a 62 reissue Jazz from 2003
  15. Thank you @Beedster I'll measure up the car boot and give it some serious thought!
  16. Squier Vintage Modified active Jaguar 5 string bass The previous owner did the following: Fender USA Hi-Mass bridge (will also come with the original bent piece of metal) Fender USA Noiseless Jazz pickup I understand the Precision pickup is a Fender USA one but don't know which one. Fender USA neck plate. I removed the Fender USA decal from the headstock and just stuck a skull/wings decal with my year of birth. I also stuck some red tortoiseshell vinyl over the black scratch plate.

  17. Dunlop Cry Baby 105Q Bass Wah Bought a few months ago (on ebay for £105) for a band that didn't happen and it's just sitting here and I need the money.
  18. I love my 55-02 but I always take a look when they come up on here. One day, when the missus isn't looking, I'll just blow some big cash on a US made one. Good luck with the sale!
  19. Today
  20. Adding photos to show back and tiny knocks on the front.
  21. Picked this up from here last year and it's had very little play since. Looks great on the wall mind! With a small baby in the flat, 3 four string basses is probably excessive since I don't get the time. It is a Yamaha BB414. Nice slim neck, plays great and sounds great too. It's had the hardware changed to gold and the pickup surround has been sprayed gold. Think the fact it's a matte finish stops it being too flashy. Had a bit of wear on the back from previous owners but the front is in very good condition. Currently strung with reasonably new light rounds (no idea of brand/gauge) I'll try and source a box across the next few days but collection/meet up would be handy.
  22. You Make Me Feel Brand New - The Stylistics
  23. Fixing a Hole - Beatles
  24. Piano and either strings, "hammond" or moving to an actual harp.
  25. The Sapele body, wenge neck P bass is nearly finished. Just some knobs and strap lock buttons. This one has fought me all the way with neck shims, poly finish sagas, drilling through the headstock and accidental knocks. It sounds amazing though with Tonerider Precision Plus pickups and a Bloodstone Guitarworks solderless loom. Tuners are USA Hipshot Ultralites and a Gotoh bridge. I tried a custom headstock shape on this one. It will be sold as a player grade instrument due to the flaws but OMG does it play like a dream! I am tempted to keep it as the neck feels so lovely.
  26. But then we’d only have old vintage instruments to lust after. Yep, fair point 🤣
  27. Which pickups are in it? One pic shows EMG and in the others EMGx.
