  3. Yep, what they said. Everything that has been suggested above, and just keep at it. At some point it will become second nature. It's the whole 'patting your head and rubbing your tummy' thing.
  4. The Begringer ADI21 is a Paradriver clone
  5. Even a mega comfy and capacious Skoda Superb estate gets torturous after ten hours traveling before the gig, LOL!

    Hi there!

  7. I didn’t realise that you took my Peugeot. TWOCker
  8. have you not read over the last 8+ years why Scott wears a glove ? I wonder if a playing style with lots of hammer ons and pull offs, bends, vibrato and fretting hand tapping might exacerbate it or if there is a genetic component that makes some more susceptible ? Even diet may have a role, Scott has stated being on atkins style diet seemed to reduce his symptoms so he could shed, record and gig more
  9. I assume you mean being trapped in a mobile torture chamber on wheels for ten hours, @Geek99 ? 🤣
  10. Thank you! I’ve sent you a text.
  11. Thanks Dave, will def still be playing, got my non gigging classic rock band and a new (to me) Sandberg Superlight California TT to make that easier. Spot on
  12. Ok … I have a newer, higher bar to aspire to 👍 edit- there is a parallel universe where I’m even half that capable but sadly I don’t live in it 🤷
  13. Is that a statement or a warning ? 😂 Dave
  14. Nice Stingray. Got a notion for one at the moment but need to get some more gig money first 😂 Dave
  15. No one leaves basschat whilst still breathing
  16. when you know its time, you know and i wish you all the very best in whatever else you get up to Lozz. Hopefully not giving up bass completely and you'll still be on BC as normal. Dave
  17. I think, this is from situations I've been in, it's the continuous wash of a 'what are the chords?' ( rather than a specific part) chord bashing type guitarist. Particularly on a piezo equipped acoustic into a PA. I've never found any amount of, or quality of, bass gear that can cope with the lack of space in the arrangement. Keyboard lefthand obviously also. I would always choose the right part played at the right time on mediocre gear over the opposite. I remember reading an article with George Massenburg being asked about how you make a great record. He just said all you need is a great musical arrangement....he didn't say one of his mega fancy mastering EQs or anything.
  18. Coming to China is always an option 😁 There's a direct flight from London to where I live twice a week.
  19. Hi Eddie, I’ve sent you a personal message (it’s like an email, but you check it here). See you’re in Frome, so not too far away. Sorry to hear about the bass problems!
  20. The one in The Gallery is a nice thing. I tried it the other day. Thin neck, nice tone, looks the part. My reservation is that I think it might be a bit pricey for what it is. But I guess the gallery has overheads that we don't. Your shortscale will undoubtedly be nicer to play, and what with these both being quite 'thumpy' semi acoustic basses, I doubt the scale length will make any real diff to the tone. GLWTS!
  21. For £130 GBP delivered to you in the U.K., you won't find a better combo and it ticks all your boxes @sshorepunk ... it also has a tilting handle on the underside to use it as a wedge. Really the best buy for you. I toured with just this and a fretless in a fusion band (two electric guitarists and a light touch drummer/percussionist) for a year, and was always complemented for my tone by everyone including the sound engineers.
