  1. Past hour
  2. Cheers! Yeah, if I were still gigging regularly, I'd be clinging on to this amp. But I'll be keeping my Little B*ast*rd 30 for recording - probably my joint favourite with the CTM-100! - so I can't really justify keeping both of them.
  3. A very nice looking bass at a very good price - a lovely destination for the proceeds of the sale too
  4. Perfect for those who have had to move to lightweight cabs--- a lightweight bass!

  6. Not good at all. That happened to me a while ago, but it came back. I hope things improve for you very soon. Why not turn to the hive of BC for advice and suggestions: they'll offer loads of support? Best wishes
  7. I think Mr Sapko and myself would have completely different music tastes judging by his playing on clips, but I find the guy funny and love some of his not-so-subtle mickey takes when he lists people and puts another person's photo up. Carry on Danny as far as I am concerned.
  8. Where's Captain Kirk — Spizz Energi
  9. Not heard of Mr Hook?? - This is one aspect of being a "musician" I like. Yes I've heard and know who PH is and never heard of the Foo Fighter chap "his" episode was a decent watch. Meaning very often I "discover" a musician that I would never have looked at, now I have info on what they offer, I'm "enriched" Adam Clayton surpised me. Usually I've seen the U2 crew to seem like schoolboys in interviews, the spokesman being Bono who was always on point. Adam speaks very well, must be his age
  10. For those who could be interested, on't see these very often, shame about the 'butchered' bridge🙁 https://reverb.com/uk/item/93341230-ashley-pangborn-custom-bass-guitar-based-on-warlord-model-1985
  11. Yeah, I'm with you. I absolutely love Elixir. No need to change!!!
  12. Star Trekkin' - The Firm
  13. Yes Still for sale. Its 3/4 size. String length from bridge to nut is 101cm
  14. 50 million year trip - Kyuss
  15. I didn't really answer the question. It may be hard to believe but I have no strong opinion about him, despite his best efforts to be edgy and an "acquired taste". Seems to be able to play the bass, probably better than me. Says the word "bass" funny. OK.
  16. The only musical people I am interested in are those who make music I enjoy, or those who make equipment or instruments that I want to use. Mr Sapko appears to do none of those things so as far as I am concerned he's an irrelevance.
  17. We have a couple of LEDJ 7Q5 pars that work well as uplights for the drums but stopped taking them to gigs due to grumblings within the band about the amount of gear we are taking to gigs (which is a fair comment 🙂). I think we may need to revisit this. Funnily enough, I've recently replaced everything in that lighting setup apart from the drum uplights (not in the video) and the lighting control (iPad / ADJ 4 stream bridge) with lights bought from AliExpress. I'm still applying the same principles; 1. Lights on stands pointing down where possible to avoid dazzling band members. 2. Static colour and slow fade colour change stage wash lights (it's not a disco 😉). 3. White lights on band members. 4. Moving heads to add effects/interest.
  18. I think those Thomann lights are a bit expensive. IMO the best vendors for lighting are Stsge or DJ suppliers. Terralec do a good range Terralec Lighting and these are worth a look Equinox Light Cluster. if you search DJ Suppliers , they will have more choice, both in price and range. I advise getting a set that has DMX control as you may want to get more lights later and you need to be able to control all of them.
  19. I'll probably be gigging until I'm physically no longer able to do it, and after that making and releasing weird industrial music from my home studio until I am mentally unable. I've been very lucky with my health and fitness. In my current band I'm by far the oldest, but probably also the healthiest and fittest.
  20. I remember when he first started popping up years ago. I couldn't bear him - his stuff was so TECHNICOLOR and in-your-face. Turns out he was just ahead of the curve. I still couldn't bear him until recently, but at some point I had another go accepting him as a bit of a cartoon character, and... I get him now. He's funny. That said, I'd never watch him to learn anything.
  21. My daughters band, Butane Skies have just released their second single. It may have been written, first performed and released at Christmas but it is absolutely, definitely NOT a Christmas song. Third single coming very soon The cover art is by the singer/guitarist and all done by an actual human, not AI
  22. Sadly not, I did that on video one, it still pops up, turns up on other videos, turns up on facebook, even when you select 'don't show me content like this' his smug annoying face turns up on the next thing, and even when you think he has gone, someone else will post his inane dribblings about how someone else is the problem with the world.
  23. I bought two reall cheap 'par' lights that just turned out to be non-dmx with an ir controller identical to those used for light bulbs. One set to a warm yellow and the other to a magentaish colour either side of us are useful as some constant illumination. The lasers @Phil Starr mentions are a great idea. A bit hit and miss about what you get, I have three and one is rather more powerful. I always aim them up at the ceiling.
  24. Ive managed to find a guitar box, so delivery is now an option
  25. Ah! Didn't realise that. That makes sense now. I was going to put a grill on as well. So matt black(or red Hammerite) is fine on the baffle.
  26. Can't watch anything that has him in it. Totally hate his personality and style. Probably a really great guy. Seems a bit of a Karen to me though.
