I haven't. I think by the time I have purchased pots and wiring, had them delivered, soldered them all together, it would just be quicker and just as expensive to fit the pre-amp, which would only require soldering the existing barrel jack in.

Luke brought a leather strap. Great comms, immediate payment, easy to work with. Zero issues, just like it should be. Thanks Rob

@warwickhunt I get what you're saying about the different ways of fingering, I'd simply never considered it.

Imagine placing the pad of your finger on the 'bass' string; to play the octave strings (which are much thinner) you need to apply sufficient pressure past the point of contact with the bass string to get the octave strings to fret. When the octave strings are below the bass string you need to rotate your finger slightly in/under toward by bending your knuckle joint down, whereas if the octave strings are above, you roll your finger tip over the bass string a little... much more natural to do the latter. It's something which you never need to think about if you've ever played a 12 string acoustic guitar because the string thickness in pairs is the same or very similar.

I’ve played one, it was far better at being a bass than I was at playing it

I'm still waiting to see how the M6-6 comes out. The P6-5 above is a neat looking instrument, for an FSO.

As someone who's never played a 12, the order of the strings was something I'd never considered, either tonally or playing feel. Interesting, thanks guys. Sidebar comment: I'd love a 12 with a 6x2 arrangement.

Auld Gambling House in Alloa for BLOCKBUSTARZ tonight. Reasonable sized crowd maybe 100 in plus a childhood neighbour turned up who lives in Alloa. Owner said its been slow over past few mths. Anyways thought i'd try my Overwater J4 for a spin but half way thru 2nd set i realised it was getting a bit heavy and my back was feeling it and i changed over to old faithful Sandberg VM4. Wife reckoned the VM4 was better sounding, deeper but clearer. Had dancers up most of the night with a full floor for special request of Time Warp. Audience seemed well up for a party tonight and really enjoyed themselves. Using Overwater J4 then Sandberg VM4 into Handbox WB-100 and BF 212 cab with Shure wireless and Keeley Bassist Comp. 1st set fro 8 to 9:20pm and 2nd set 9:45 to 11:15pm Got paid and a 1:15mins drive home. I'm sure you're aware of the Basschat Marketplace, specifically the Basses for Sale section. It can be a dangerous place to be if you don't have you wallet safely stashed away in a locked box with a lost key. 😂 Mark

Start with you bass straight into the amp and then add each pedal individually (one by one) until you recreate the fault.
