  2. Don't get me wrong, those are excellent preamps. They physically feel better quality, and the drive sounds they offer are definitely more '3D'. I just always wanted more mid control from both, and I couldn't get along with the BP's cab sim (and doesn't have an FX loop). I could have gotten around those personal dislikes by adding a couple of other pedals. The SLO with a parametric EQ would be ideal, but the Digbeth does what I need at a significantly cheaper price (for now😅).
  3. Yamaha SLG100 Silent Guitar, steel string model in original case. Nice condition, fully working. If you're looking at this you probably know what it is, but just in cae.... Silent Guitar breaks down into a very small, convenient carry case. 9v Battery powered, has mains adaptor input too but no power supply included (or needed really, batteries last ages). Headphone output, with volume and tone controls plus 2 reverb settings. Aux input so you can play along to your fave tunes, all without disturbing the family while they watch Strictly. Perfect for hotel room practice while touring. Could be open to sensible offers. Can ship within UK only at buyers cost, (to be determined). Cost around £500 new. Thanks for looking.

  11. Up is my TRB1006J. Recently bought a high end 6 and can't justify keeping it. It's been well looked after and had a full service and a brand new barrel jack in June. The previous owner had a ramp installed (very well I might add), there is also dunlop straplocks installed, other than that its all original. I can post but I would prefer not to, I travel quite a bit so Im always happy to try and make a meet up work. Mainly after cash, but try me for trades. Thanks
  12. Yeah, for me too, but I do get worn out teaching 50,000 members all day.
  13. Yep clicking the date works for me. Cheers for that guys. Every day a school day on BC. 😂 Dave
  14. Good point, but I did say, "many luthiers", not all I believe Warwick, for one example, are entirely CNC these days too, however, they are more than happy to accommodate extra custom work, they just create new CNC files as per the need, their custom shop prices certainly cover it... I was just trying to state that It is rare for small builders using CNC to veer heavily away from their norm is all.
  15. I've really no idea what its for but i see the occasional comment that i'd like to read the full thing but can't. Dave
  16. That's kind of where i'm at. The number of times i've had to move tables and chairs just to access the stage area. Dave
  17. Selling my Tele bass, in all used it for no more than 10 minutes after buying it. Its in mint condition cannot see a mark on it, has all protective plastic on pick guard and tuners still attached, comes with original gig bag and the bag candy too. Purchased to try and trigger a push back into playing again earlier in the year but it didn't hit the spot for me, just didn't get on with the slab body. Selling it as I am picking up my Nate more and more, would like this to fund a LB30 2.n. I am based in Ipswich for those wishing to collect, if not happy to send at buyer’s expense. I am heading to Derby on Saturday so can meet up on that route if it helps. 18. I've got one incoming. Just placed the order with @Bass Direct 😬
  19. I prefer the first one - more flexibility for positioning your forearm. I would worry that the second one is much more prescribed and you have to keep your forearm where the carve is - either side of it and you're actually going to be resting on a perceived hump/point.
  20. If this was in the Uk I would be stupidly tempted 🤣
  21. Laney R500H 500w Bass Amp I'll put some current pics up tomorrow but here's the thread from when I bought it off here. I've only used it live a couple of times. Moving it on cos I've just bought an EBS 350 off here and I don't need 3 amps. No trades ta I have the original box and courier will be around £10. There was one on eBay from Japan for £400+ so obviously it's rare, desirable and probably lawsuit era 😂 New pics added Original post

  22. Hello all im in the process of drawing up some plans for a new project and am running into the sticky issue of ergonomics it may be that there is no hard-and-fast answer to this, but it would be good to get some opinions the question is about the shape of the front of a bass body a good example is Wal, here are examples of their mk1 and mk3: the Mk1 has a straight carve out of the upper edge, the MK3 has a rounded carve out is either of these specifically preferable? and if so why? would be very interested to see which people prefer from a comfort standpoint
