    Up for sale is my great little Epifani UL 110. 250w 8Ohms. 11.6 Kg Bought for home use but has been to a couple of gigs as an extension cab to my old TKs 112 I had at the time. Easily powerful enough on it's own for acoustic stuff etc. Good overall condition. One of the bottom corner protectors is a bit damaged but it dose its job and the carpet is going a bit bobbly in places. Collection from St Helens. Not sure on postage yet as I'm pretty low on packaging and suitable boxes. Could possibly meet up if not too far.

    I think that's true of all great bands of that era. At least the ones who didn't die in excess. Social media is largely responsible for taking away the mistique of many bands, actors and celebrities. Much of the time not for the better.

    For sale, my Hartke HA 3500 I'm guessing it needs little introduction..... But a super reliable amp in very good clean condition and full working order. Compressor, tube and solid state preamps, 10 band graphic and high/low pass filters complete a comprehensive feature set. 350 watts at 4 ohms 250 at 8 ohm. Always found it more than ample for pub gigs and rehearsals. Comes with rack ears for rack mounting. Will include postage to UK addresses but NI and outlying areas I'll have to get a quote.     That's a bit of a bargain. I though I got a bargain recently with a Mex Fender replacement neck from amazon at over five times this price. If only the Sire headstock wasn't such a munter.

    I have used the HPF on the B 1 Four for many years. One patch set at 40hz and a second set at 30hz. All my patches included a HPF.

    A simple one this evening, for new readers. This is the Ugonna Okegwo bass part for the tune 'You Don't Know What Love Is' from the 1994 Leon Parker album, 'Above And Below'. It is a simple part that mostly repeats the same phrase rhythmically throughout but changes in line with the root notes of the chords of the tune.     Cheers Pete. There is some damage as a result of scarring but I’ve adapted my playing a little and feel confident again on long scales. I’ll keep my old faithful Rick shortscale 3000 and my Hofner but I have no real use for the ‘baby versions’ of my main basses now.

    Can anyone advise? Tc plethora x5.... When using the sub n up effect and holding down the 'mash' mode, is there a way to manually adjust the amount of octave? Or is it a case of plugging it into the editor on a PC? Thanks, Andrew

    To me the most extraordinary thing about all this is how Black Sabbath have become part of the mainstream. I literally grew up listening to Sabbath. I remember when I was a child my friends older brothers having Black Sabbath albums and me being fascinated by the artwork, even if I couldn't really understand the music at such a young age. By the time Never Say Die came out I was into it, though. Sabbath were my favourite band. Back in those day, Sabbath were an enigma. You hardly ever saw them on television or heard them on the radio. You certainly didn't know much about the individual personalities or their lives. They had a mystique to them. Nowadays they are celebrated as a national institution. They played at the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. They appear on breakfast TV. We all know what Ozzy's kitchen looks like. They've become another media-led commodity. It's all a bit weird to me, and something I never dreamt I would see in my lifetime. The real Black Sabbath disappeared into history in a puff of white powder many years ago. They belong in another era, when they were untamed and a bit dangerous. What you are seeing today is a pantomime based on a true story, performed by geriatrics.

    For sale is my well loved, well gigged TC Electronic BG250 Combo Bass Amp. This amp saw me through many years of gigs at pubs and small venues such as The Wedgewood Rooms and The Edge of the Wedge alike - and it admittedly shows. Alas, it never let me down, and is still a fully functional, powerhouse of an amp. The reason for sale is that I am trying to downsize as I don't have the space - or power requirement for this bad boy anymore. It has fantastic tonal control, even through a simple three-band EQ and delivers 250W of smooth bass tone through the 2x10" speakers alongside a small tweeter. It has a built-in tuner with mute functionality; as well as line in and phones out ports for rehearsing with the band, or practicing alone. Finally, a balanced direct output will allow you to plug into any venue's soundsystem - meaning you're ready to tackle that all-inportant gig of yours, whether in the local or at the O2. The Toneprint controls are great fun to mess about with and allow you to load bass effects to each A or B track onto the amp from your phone via the bass' pick-up - its practically magic, as far as I'm concerned! Each effect can be controlled by a footswitch, which I don't have, but only sell for ~£40 new.
