Source Audio Aftershock - Bass distortion/fuzz/overdrive £90
synthaside replied to mcnach's topic in Effects For Sale
These are Absolutely fantastic , units I use one as a Tubescreamer , a RAT and a Big muff , this thing gives you all the benefit of " behaving like analog pedals with blend functionality but with the flexibility of pugging the thing in and swapping the "Pedal sim " for somthing else on the menu . A huge stable of options , And even the ability to switch it from " toggle to latch" for those ... i want my Fuzz in the Chorus only moments, So much versatility for the price , bargain. -

That flmsy socket looks a long way from becoming unreliable. Tne contact is virtually aligned with the midline of the socket. -
Bass Wielder started following Squier Jazz Deluxe pre-amp
-
*UK postage included* So instead of putting in a drawer where it will just sit…. This is fully working active pre-amp from a Squier jazz deluxe that I’m modding for my needs so this is now spare. Great sounding bass but I’m an East UK pre-amp user, so I’m staying loyal (and they are definitely the best in the biz I tell ya!) Controls are: Volume, Blend, Treble/Bass stack, Mid and a ‘slap’ switch. *I have added an active/passive switch which can me easily removed if need be* I will add a pic of the wiring diagram so if you’re handy with a solder iron, easy enough to install or if not, a tech (or good mate or both) can do. It’s great for a project or back up bass or a main if you’re so inclined. *UK postage included* ps: I will be shifting the pickups soon and will offer first dibs to whoever buys the pre-amp for a matching set.

Our first time playing at the Gate in Hugglescote. It looks like they have entertainment fairly regularly, but not with bands with a drum kit. It was a bit tight, so much so that the drummer sat on the bench instead of his stool and had no room for a floor tom. That made for a few chuckles on the occasions he forgot and hit on thin air 😂 I never find it fun having to move every piece of kit six times while setting up, like a sliding tile puzzle. A bit unusually for a Saturday night pub gig they wanted us to start at 7pm. As we expected it was a little thin on the ground when we started but soon got busier. The Rumble had to go on the bench. I don't normally have it up high like that, so it made for a different experience and I tried not to be too self-conscious being able to hear every little thing. A good night was had. Some dancing. A lot of compliments, and it turns out there were quite a few musos there too. Most importantly my black DMs looked great, having polished them this morning 😂

Laney R500H 500w Bass Amp I'll put some current pics up tomorrow but here's the thread from when I bought it off here. I've only used it live a couple of times. Moving it on cos I've just bought an EBS 350 off here and I don't need 3 amps. No trades ta I have the original box and courier will be around £10. There was one on eBay from Japan for £400+ so obviously it's rare, desirable and probably lawsuit era 😂

sambecker1 started following FS: Warmoth/Daion Precision

I was just teasing you about how she knew so much. I apologise if you are offended
-
They do. My only gripe is the near-invisible dot markers front-and-side on the others - thankfully not a thing on the ‘66.

What have you done with the skull volume knob? Seems a shame not to do something fun with it.

I have no idea who she is. And this episode has been a real load of old bollocks. Mrs Zero was also watching and was even less impressed than me. Several bassists saying the only bass to have was a Precision. Funny that Mark King, Darryl Jones, Guy Pratt, and Gail Ann Dorsey weren't asked. -

Love these American RI basses. They play and sound amazing 🤩
-
Strange question to ask. You're getting a bit personal now.
-
I'm pretty sold on a 5560 me thinks. Thanks for the info/experience. I would probably drop a J stone in one but I totally get it.. I love a passive J bass...

They're rubbish!! or maybe you just don't like them
Jean-Luc Pickguard replied to police squad's topic in General Discussion
Sometimes saying something is rubbish it isn't just an opinion; it can be a quantifiably true statement. As an example my newly acquired 'made in China' Modern player starcaster bass is a lovely instrument to play now that I've slung on a set of LaBella flats and set it up, however it came from the factory fitted with one of the flimsy cheapo output sockets that has a good chance of the tip connector losing its springiness over time and causing the signal to cut out at the worst possible moment. As the bass is around twelve years old, the original socket is surely on borrowed time. Whenever I encounter one of these it gets replaced with a switchcraft, or preferably a pure-tone socket, and the original goes straight into the bin. Now that I have fitted the bass with a pure-tone socket, I can have complete faith that the output jack is top quality and won't fail on me. new pure-tone socket on the left, crappy flimsy cheapo rubbish original socket on the right. -
It's the neck for me with Laklands. Just like the 5502s Just like Atelier 5 strings they are superb. I've been told the Sadowsky modern ME sound like a Ken Smith. Not sure that's true..

Super rare Iron Ether Super FrantaBit - basically two FranaBits in one box, with foot switches to flip flop between them both, as well as switch between Degrade and Obliterate mode. One of the most versatile and sought after Bit Crushers ever made. Grab this now, without the painfully long wait, shipping, and a massive VAT bill when it arrives in the UK! Selling this to buy a Hologram Microcosm (had one, massive regrets over selling it), but will consider the following trades/part-exs: Hologram Microcosm, Red Panda Tensor, Triungolo Barbanera. Iron Ether Polytope, Iron Ether Xerograph, Providence Anadime Bass Chorus, Ibanez Ashula SRAS7 (Dragon Eye Burl finish).
