  2. Oh I know, but currently it doesn’t and we have no timeline for when it will. Bluetooth he said I hope I’m not too optimistic but it should be a couple of months. Audio over USB was pulled last minute before release, but it’s had 3? firmware updates so far and it’s not there. I’m sure it will all be there, just we don’t know when and if you NEED one of these features you should hold off getting it for now imho
  3. I have both lightweight and midweight cabs. The heaviest are my 56lb Bergantino HD210, the lightest are 29lb MB NY121P, with a few others in between. My choice for gigs depends partly on the venue, partly on the fee and partly on load in attributes. I use a folding trolley to move my cabs almost every time. My 100lb cabs went years ago, and I will be sad the day I can't shift my HD210s (one at a time). At 62 years old, I know that will happen before too long and I completely agree modern systems can be more accurate and go louder, but I don't want FRFR or huge volumes, so I'll gradually work my way down my cabs until I fade away.

  5. I’m not cheap 👍😆
  6. Too bad the worms didn't finish the job.
  7. Here's a photo. I soldered the stray wire (the thin white one the right of the picture) from the jack to the middle lug of the tone pot, but that doesn't seem to be doing anything much apart from making things sound muddy and there's also no signal from the bridge pup. So that doesn't seem to be the correct connection.
  8. Played at the North Bar in Peterhead last night with Nine Lives. Bit of a weird one. A venue we've never played before. An area so wide, but with paths customers will take across where the cables to the PA speakers have to go, so I spent most of my time sticking cables down with gaffer tape. Really going to have to investigate using wireless bugs to get the signal from the desk to the PA speakers for places like this in future. Rushed setup as a result, and we were a bit late starting. And after all that effort, it was pretty sparsely attended - in the first half we ended up playing to 4 (four) folk plus the bar staff. "Paid rehearsal" came to mind, but thankfully some people came in later on and it was better in the second half. On the plus side, the sound was good, and the SB-2 performed admirably, with the Wunkay seeing out the second half. I do love my G&Ls. MFD FTW. Gear was the fantastic MFD brothers (G&L Tribute SB-2 then Wunkay) into the usual Markbass cubes of low frequency. Please excuse the terrible photos, my phone was having a 'mare focussing, it would seem.
  9. Thanks Joey, funnily enough until we got quite well known as people knew two of us were Andys but didn’t know which two I also got called Andy for a while. Kind of an honorary membership I suppose.
  10. Excellent stuff, thanks chaps (roll on order) 👍

  14. Gibson Knobs for guitar One is missing the cover They come with the original envelope
  15. Why? No other thread for a bass for sale is subject to that rule. Queries about price, yes, we all know that is the rule, however queries about work done and upgrades etc. are very frequent on for sale threads.
  16. You could use bandcamp for this, but personally I wouldn't as it's primarily designed as a sales platform for finished recordings. YouTube is quite handy for this. You can mark the video as unlisted so it won't show up in searches, but you can then send the link directly to players who might be interested in joining. Obviously you need to upload a video, (which can just be a still image) rather than just an audio file. I ditched SoundCloud a long time ago so I don't know how useful it would be in either its free or subscription form.

  20. Hi, Clearing the loft out, I’ve got 2 Ampeg shipping/cardboard boxes with inserts from a couple of amps I bought a while back. Can’t see myself selling the actual amps anytime soon so they’re up for grabs before getting recycled… V4B 100W B15N Heritage Collection or meet near Chester.
  21. This is cool. Hope you enjoy it! Although I am a bit sad that they’re no longer the world’s only band where every member is called Andy!
  22. Well I didn’t think I’d ever spend this much on a strap, but I caved in and ordered a Heistercamp custom strap. Not that I should feel guilty treating myself, but I sold something on an eBay auction that I didn’t need, and got twice as much I expected, and three times what I paid for it. I basically made £100 out of nowhere. So it was a no brainer to get myself a nice luxurious strap. There were a lot of choices on the custom order form, I was really stuck between suede and smooth leather backing. I’m used to suede, and like it mostly, but it can be a little annoying how grabby it is, and having to lift it off my clothes to adjust the angle of the bass even slightly. So, I thought I’d try smooth leather for a change. Pics will follow when it arrives, but I’m very excited
  23. Yep, me, I’m an advocate of the use it lose approach to back strength however, so I’m quite happy that way 👍
  24. I guess all these folk pining for their old school 15" cabs have someone carting them around on their behalf, yes?
