Kay Pedulla 1970s Neck Through Bass
The fasting showman replied to eubassix's topic in eBay - Weird and Wonderful
The main bass ( albeit modded) of James Eller of The The and many other bands. I wouldn't mind one at £50 -
Now gone to a new home 😊

It's the amp @stevie uses

Could be Mark Knopfler under the treble switch?
-
Hm. Is it big enough to store necks and (bass!) bodies in? Looks as if it might be long enough for necks.

New Amp Day - Trace Elliot BLX130 Combo and matching cab
Clarky replied to bawjohnson's topic in Amps and Cabs
Very cool and I bet it sounds incredible ... but makes me think of chiropractor, lol -
Casual inquiry: would a Monza and Trace TE-1200 (800W at 8 ohms) be a disastrous match? Shame Trace don't do a less extreme powered head (unless you go all the way down to an Elf) (Edit: with my back/neck issues, I couldn't really confortably handle a Monaco ... to provide context)

Shout out to John (Noise Works, Coventry) for fixing bass neck

Wonderful to bring such a cool bass back to life. -
I recently bought a Laney Digbeth 500 head and it`s damm sexy Sounds good as well. I also bought a Markbass MB58R 4 X 10 cab. I don`t know if I`m digging the usual MB look but at 16 kg for a 4 x 10 I`m willing to try.

The Black Stone Cherry FB group is very friendly and at least one of the band members occasionally post there - could be worth asking in there if anyone knows what event its from

I don't believe so - I have added the specs from the original seller (and I think you check on Fender Japan too), but it is listed as: Pickups: Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single Coil Jazz Bass (Bridge), Hybrid II Custom Voiced Single I don't know if these are ceramic (I assume not, but they do sound great either way!)

@Ian Somerville bought a G&L Tribute SB-2 from me. Great guy to deal with, good comms, prompt payment, kept in touch throughout. Smoothest of the smooth transactions. Deal with confidence.

Gretsch G6119b Broadkaster bass Japan €1.350
W1_Pro replied to SurroundedByManatees's topic in Basses For Sale
The one in The Gallery is a nice thing. I tried it the other day. Thin neck, nice tone, looks the part. My reservation is that I think it might be a bit pricey for what it is. But I guess the gallery has overheads that we don't. Your shortscale will undoubtedly be nicer to play, and what with these both being quite 'thumpy' semi acoustic basses, I doubt the scale length will make any real diff to the tone. GLWTS!- 4 replies

Any actually useful responses out there? -
I've been quoted two years a while ago for either a standard model or master built/custom shop (right handed). Sounds like Sadowsky Germany are pretty accurate with their estimated delivery times. That is very valuable to know. Thanks. I hope it was worth the wait🙂👍
