Hi all My first post in about 2 years after retiring from bass & bands. I have been totally bassless for 2 whole years with no real intention to buy anything ( we all know how that on goes) Whilst walking in Saltburn yesterday I happened upon Stephen James guitar shop so naturally had a "quick" look inside like you do. Then I spotted an absolute immaculate Warwick Corvette $$,so obviously I had to have a little look ........... Two hours later it was on it's way home with me. It is a 2009 German made bass in as new condition with no fret wear at all & not a single mark of any kind. It has the original gig bag completel with all the usual goodies that come with that & also the original sales receipt dated 2009 from Promenade music in Blackpool ( £975 ) It belonged to a collector who sadly passed away & looks to have hardly been played. I paid £900 for it which included new strings & a good fret polish. Happy camper here

I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.

I toured a MkIV AH250 through a red stripe 4x10 back in the day. Wonderful amp although 20 years later I acquired the same model for nostalgic reasons and the sound wasn't how I remembered it. I got into the SMX 12 band stuff with the tube and the dual-band compressor. That was my favourite preamp and I'm not sure if anybody has bettered it. Power ratings are so unpredictable. I hear people complaining today that a relatively recent 300w Class D head is hitting it's limits. 300w seemed a lot in the 80s.

I dont imagine theres a music retailer that isnt struggling, given the global uncertainy following DT tarrifs. The majority or gear is made in countries he's targeted and with the variety of import/export charges it must be almost impossible to predict cash flow and consumer habits. On top of that we have the cost of everyday living basics increasing, which is impacting on consumers desicions to make a purcahse. A sign of the times for sure.

Same here... But I don't care as BassChat is way better. 🤪😂 -
They've said that any new effects that they add to the Stadium will also be added to the rest of the Helix line where possible:

cheers at what price point do you start to hear a audible difference? I’ve seen two mic inputs ranging from 90-200 (behringer, mackie and Yamaha) The Yamaha session cakes worked but the sound had a muffled metallic sound to it.
-
For info - This deal seems to have ended now.

Nice I'm still thinking about getting mine sprayed pink. And the Tbird, too.

I've been some sort of doom loop trying to log in or even view content on TB The caption is always - Trying to verify you're human - with a tick box, and then waiting for ages before doing it again. I've tried on different browsers, different devices, but still no joy Grr Anyone else having the same issue?

I had forgotten this exhaustive build diary, I’m genuinely delighted that it’s been revived. oh and COYI - we’ve won a European trophy during the gap in this topic. Probably won’t be able to say that again in my lifetime.
