  2. I got a cheapie off Ebay, similar to https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/284697979139 (same tablet as you). A couple of others at an open mic I go to have the same one. Works well, though I've found that to keep the tablet pointing up at the sort of angle you'd have a music stand at, you need to grip the tablet across the bottom. Maybe I should try using the holder lengthwise instead of widthwise <makes note to do that when I've got the tablet holder out of the car>.
  3. The 8" future? F1 San Marino? Blueline Thruxton? IYKYK.

  5. I would also advise the use of a High Pass Filter at the sort of levels you are playing this eliminates all the sub bass energy that your speakers are trying to handle and you cant actually hear. Set around 40 Hz shgould be fine, but to get full power you will need another 8Ohm cab to go with the combo. i use the Rumble Stage 800 for a backline and rarely go above 12 o clock on the volume and often dont need much through the PA, if i need the extra power for a large gig i have another rumble 2x 10 cab i can use. i use a Broughton Hi pass filter to stop all the unwanted speaker flap etc.
  6. That tends to be an attribute of HB basses in general.
  7. If I wasn’t putting my house up for sale, I’d be all over this, you might not want to wait that long!
  8. It’s a custom - the standard config is J/J and I’ve seen a few H/H and S/H but not a P/MM before. This one has a 3 way series/split coil/parallel toggle switch as well which is unusual. The top isn’t standard either - the pitting and holes are left exposed but they use a resin to stabilise it. It’s also a custom colour apparently.
  9. Not the 6 string. Bought the 4 string version back in 2014. It was a sturdy bit of kit, ebonol fretboard will likely out live 5 generations. Pretty sure a couple of BC'ers bought the 6 string, @Owen ?, a lad from New Zealand started a thread when landing the 7 string. Went by the name "Annoying Twit", should be easy enough to find that thread. Oh, don't know if it applies to later versions but "weighty" was often used to describe the early ones 👍
  10. Lovely! Is that a standard model with the P/MM pickups?
  11. I was wondering about a Godin A5, then at an open mic night I encountered somebody with one and had a feel of it. Far too chunky a neck for my liking. How does the GB-notreally5-4 neck compare to the A4, @Frank Blank?
  12. Two new ranges, the American Pro-Am and the American Amateur.
  13. I once owned a Godin A8 mandolin, and despite it sounding reasonable, nearby objects were attracted to move to it such was the gravitational pull brought about by the sheer mass of the thing. It would have made a decent weapon in a pub fight, but was far too heavy for something calling itself a Mandolin.
  14. Serial not found is a big red flag the blocks probably are stickers, but the ferrule and string retainers look a bit hooky to me, exactly as they did to @HeadlessBassist I’d say it was a bitsa
  15. @log That's the spirit my friend. The internet is stacked with naysayers but that's no reason why we should listen to them 😀 If I may offer another tip, for when new strings funds allow. Before swapping them over, outline the current bridge position on the body with masking tape. It's unlikely the old position will be perfect but it will be close enough to avoid starting the process from scratch. Play in good health 👍
  16. Surely it's the gender that it self-identifies as.
  17. That is a pretty thing! I love how the bottom of the bridge matches the curve of the body, very elegant.
  18. Haven't they been recruited for the Grand Masters' black helicopter?
  19. I agree, the headstock doesn't look right. It could just be the camera angle of course.
  20. Right click on the picture and select "Copy image address" and paste that in. https://i.imgur.com/Wy1GuHn.jpeg We in the UK can still only see it with a VPN though.
  21. You've not done something silly like turning the volume down on your bass have you? Or batteries running low? Either that, or like others have said you are ridiculously loud. Another Rumble 500 user here btw. That has plenty of power for pretty much any situation.
  22. PINBALLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! https://youtu.be/Esa_b-s206M
  23. Thank you! That part has been nagging at me, so I appreciate the positivity. I don't mind the angle, saddles zig-zag in their natural habitat.
  24. They’re shite photos of a bog standard USA jazz in natural from 2000/1. money seems ok on it
  25. I’ve got long scale Elixirs on my Mustang and Musicmaster and both cope fine with the full width string around the tuners, even the smaller diameter Musicmaster ones. Unfortunately Elixir don’t make short or medium scale sets so it’s the only option but works fine, as long as they are installed correctly. Flats might snap though.
