This is the new range of headless basses - looks really good to me. This is the Anaconda Medusa MD5 Essence, Anaconda already build this as a custom bass at their North London workshop, but this is from the lower cost range. The spec looks really good.

FOR COLLECTION only at SW19 or can meet somewhere nearby. **Long shot but willing to trade for an Iron Ether Oxide top jack. Currently installed: -La Bella Low Tension Flats and set to medium-low action. -Dunlop Straplok. I've always liked the Telecaster Bass design. Pity I would never use it in anger, as I love the Mocha finish.

Just got back from playing The Pit at McCann's in Newport. An interesting night. Soundcheck was annoying. We went to go do it and one of the guitarists decided to just go to the hotel he was staying at and have a shave. Not the best timing 🙄 never mind, we eventually got it sorted. The first band had pulled out a couple of days ago, so there was plenty of time. Probably our smallest crowd yet of about 6. That might just be what happens when you play a metal gig on the same weekend as Download Festival 🤷 We played well though and were well received by the people there. The supplied cab sounds like it's on the way out though. Really didn't have a nice high end. Usual gear of Dingwall Combustion -> GX-100 -> Bass Big Muff/Mojo Mojo in the loop -> Laney Digbeth. Footwear for this evening was some Hobibear barefoot trainers. Still undecided about barefoot shoes... No photos, sorry. I'll update if anything surfaces on the socials!

Basses you hardly ever see for sale
Cornwall Steve replied to BaggyMan's topic in General Discussion
You're welcome!😊 Helping out fellow members is, I believe anyway, the true spirit of Basschat. In fact earlier this week another fellow member pointed me in the direction of a bass I'm in the market to buy so one good turn deserves another 🤗 -

Bought a precision neck off Pete, he was a thoroughly nice chap with great communication. The neck was very well packaged, and arrived exactly as described. A top Basschatter ☺️
-
Bobby bought my Squier Classic Vibe P bass pickup. He was super easy to deal with, great communication and seems like a real gent ☺️

In a box somewhere I have a basic phone with an e-paper display .

I was wondering when these new Classic Vibe models were going to make their apparition on here. I have wanted a tele bass with wide range pickups for quite a while - and managed to get a Fender Modern Player one only a month ago or so. 🤷 ( those with 2 pickups)

Having a bit of a streamline of my pedalboard and looking to let these beauties find a new home. Sansamp Programmable Bass Driver DI You know the deal, industry standard preamp/DI functionality - this one has 3 switchable channels allowing you to vary your tone/drive as required. A great pedal that's been a key part of my board but no longer required due to my GK 700RB amp. Excellent condition comes with the box. SOLD MXR M85 Bass Distortion A flexible bass distortion based on the famous RAT circuit this one has both the original RAT and Turbo RAT circuits switchable via a push button. Sounds great and in excellent condition apart from a few small chips in the paint. SOLD Seymour Duncan Studio Bass Compressor Really versatile workhorse compressor that gets great reviews on sites like Ovnilabs - https://www.ovnilab.com/reviews/vicegrip.shtml. A few battle scars to the paintwork but apart from that it's in great nick. Looking for £110 posted EHX Bass Clone Chorus Bought this last year looking for a Peter Hook kind of sound as it's a modern version of the original EHX Clone Theory. Hardly ever used, comes with the box. SOLD Behringer BDI21 Bass Driver DI Cheap clone of the famous Sansamp Bass Driver DI, does a fantastic job considering the price differences. Looking for £15 posted

Selling this CV 60s Precision neck as I'm having a bit of a clear out and it's just sitting around. Has a 41mm nut - Truss rod and tuners are working fine, it's from a 2021 model I think so has a laurel fingerboard and I've given it a coat of lemon oil. The profile is really nice and playable, having a decent amount of wood in the hand but slim enough to make getting around the neck a breeze. Has very minimal fret wear and I've given them a polish with some 0000 wire wool. Looking for £90 posted for this I upgraded one of my basses with a Gotoh recently and have this hi-mass bridge spare. Standard 5 screw install and this one has 4 holes for string through body as an option. Looking for a tenner posted. I also have 2 sets of pretty much brand new Rotosound RS66LD Swing Bass strings. I fitted these to my basses a couple of weeks ago but just could not get on with the feel/tension so I've gone back to my trusted EB Slinky's. They're both cut for a Precision/Jazz and have seen about an hour max of use on each set. Looking for £25 posted for the pair or £13.50 posted for a set. Any questions please let me know.

I was about to say G&L M-2000, then I spotted two on the BC Marketplace. Duh. Never mind... -
I was up in Cambridge from London a few months back and popped into their branch. Unfortunately it was a far from pleasant experience. Still feel it for all staff concerned nationwide however.

Was at Exchange in Bristol last night to see MSSV, the experimental noise rock band with the four string legend that is Mike Watt! They were supported by local band Omega Institute, who played some interesting tunes with a jazzy, ambient feel, improv kind of stuff. MSSV were great. Mike Bagetta's guitar tones were awesome, real gnarly and cutting and drummer Stephen Hodges (who's played a fair bit with Tom Waits) was super tight. Watt was using a crutch whilst watching the support act and sat down for the whole gig which was a shame as I was looking forward to seeing him gurning and bopping away as normal, but more importantly I hope he makes a speedy recovery from whatever's happened. Playing quite understated stuff, he was using a beautiful green Reverend signature into an Aguilar head and a Barefaced cab. His tone was really mid heavy and he was really pushing the input of that amp, a lot of it sounded like a fart and I could see the clipping light flashing away like a strobe 🤣 They played for about and hour and 20 whereby they literally started unplugging kit and packing away within seconds of the last song 😂 Thoroughly enjoyed it!
