  1. Past hour
  2. I've got a 1962 Precision, it's definitely authentic but it's had quite a bit of work done over the years including several neck replacements, various different bodies and a range of different electronics. For a while it was most of a 1969 Jazz, then later an excellent 1980 Stingray, and I believe it spent some time in the late 90s as a genuine Gibson Les Paul guitar, having had the neck, body and pickups replaced. As you can imagine, with that heritage it's extremely valuable.
  3. I have both HB and Sonic basses. From a purely practical point of view they are both very similar in terms of quality, playability etc and I couldn't recommend one over the other. My HB is heavier, both were a similar new price (within £20-£30 as I recall). But when it comes to resale or part exchange, I think the one with the Fender logo will retain a bit more value. I used to have an Ibanez GSR200 and that was better (IMO) than either the Sonic or the HB. It was lighter than both and I preferred the neck but I sold it during an enforced break in gigging. I have recently ordered a new SR300EB (and while looking I saw a second hand older SR300 for £180 and a new GSR200 for £220 and aused GSR200 for £100). Personally I would go for one of these over the two mentioned by the OP. I've owned a Sire and the quality on that was superb, but the asking price was slightly higher than the Sonic/HB range.
  4. Which nut are you referring to? Theres more than one nut involved in this guitar...
  5. I've only heard good things about them to be honest. They're made in the Indonesian Cort factory, so quality will obviously be pretty good. The standout feature seems to be the ceramic pickups, so they have a brighter sound than the more expensive Player II's.
  6. I'd did that last week, had to forgo my drive pedal which is only needed on our second encore which we weren't sure we'd get to. It starts with a bass solo and I could barely hear it so had to go au naturel.
  7. @paul_5 yeah it is sad isn’t it. I watch it differently now after 25 years since the last time I viewed it. I know I’ve got that booklet somewhere too. It’s a small little booklet without a cover isn’t it?
  8. https://www.songsterr.com/a/wsa/taylor-austin-dye-rest-in-peace-tab-s2071831t2/r2754229?open=editor I can't vouch for accuracy, but give this a try.
  9. So..... What's the consensus on these now they have been out for a bit, are they rebadged Affinity's or are they there own thing?
  10. Small modular system for sale, this is complete and I won’t split sorry. I’ve put street prices in brackets. The system consists of - Moog Eurorack 104 HP case (£100), Behringer PSU (£46), Moog Mother 32 (£499), Dreadbox Telepathy (£180), Erica PICO FX (£125), Doepfer A-145-1 LFO (£62), Doepfer A-138 Mixer (£58), lots of quality patch cables (£30). It’s a great flexible unit, the Telepathy is a full synth voice, Mother 32 includes a simple sequencer, ladder filter and wonderful Moog oscillator. PICO FX has the usual modulation and delays in a tiny space. I’d prefer pickup as you can see it working but will post in the UK at buyer’s cost, please note there is no original packaging apart for the Dreadbox module. The system cost around £900 to put together. Will sell for £575 as I’m concentrating on playing keyboards these days and this is a real time thief as there are so many sound sculpting possibilities.

  11. Have a bump on me - these things are awesome
  12. Mmm…if you travelled to Dorset , I’d be in trouble I think . I have a Warwick 1996 corvette which I did list for sale , and kept changing my mind . It would have sold if I posted , and you seem to have the same problem . I’ve got a craving for the low B again. Anyway …Bump! 😀
  13. I'd be interested in the body and hardware if you ever had the need to sell the neck separately. I'd imagine it'll all go in one though, so GLWTS 🙂
  14. I now have a box so can post at cost within UK. Looks to be about £20 from the usual suspect delivery couriers
  15. Don't be silly; how would he have operated the loud pedal with a wooden leg?
  16. Drunk - Ed Sheeran
  17. Including the wooden leg and milky eye?
  18. To paraphrase Sir Bob: You gaze into the doorway Of temptation's angry flame And every time you pass that way You'll always hear your name... (and I could be in Manchester some time soon...)
  19. Well, here goes... Just a loop recorded on to my phone, so quality is poor. Neck, middle, then bridge. It's wearing Thomastik rounds at the moment, so the tone is not as smooth as with the flats... Friday at 7-31 pm.m4a
  20. @solo4652 I might be able to help.... Let me see what I can do.
  21. I normally just mask off the fretboard and use 000 steel wool on the frets
  22. We do Sweet, Mud, T-Rex, Bowie 70's Glam era, but i'll youtube Lillian Axe as i've never heard of her. Dave Update : had a listen and its a good version but the original was better IMO. Also now realise its not a Her. 😂 Wouldn't class them as Glam but more just American Hair rock era. Dave
