  1. Past hour
  2. one of the best observations I've heard in a long time. It's certainly true for me.
  3. Yup , its a simple solution , as an android user i use these adapters for my decent headphones usually it's a simple dac chip.
  4. Stay another day - East 17
  5. love falkirk big up the scots
  6. Personally, I prefer the look of this cab with a black amp sitting on top, like in my photos above with the Mesa Carbine or Warwick Tubepath. So there really wouldn't be a need to change your amp and spend any unnecessary cash. 😁
  7. That's ridiculous having a VIP area like that. From a band point of view you want proper fans down the front and the rich elitist "look at me" lot should be to one side if at all. Fine for huge stadiums but not a marquee tent. Just seems a bit pretentious of the organisers IMO. Dave
  8. Origin Effects DCX Bass EQ/OD Preamp - fantastic sounding pedal. Works amazingly as an always on tone fattening ‘special sauce’ pedal or can be used as an OD Boxed with instructions in great condition £150 - priced for quick sale. Shipping available for £5, no trades
  9. I once owned an old Overwater Progress Bass (called the Rabbit) with an old filter-based electronic. In comparison to the Alembic ones it wasn‘t that effective and it didn't fit the bass very well. In recent decades there have been repeated attempts to copy or to come close to Alembic or Wal-filter electronics, but non of them have reached the goal.
  10. Haha, you don't know how long I was staring at this for yesterday, trying to figure out a way to make it work! I have my Barefaced 610 stack now, so have all my bases covered. Plus, I'd have to buy an Orange amp to go with it .. even more cash I don't have.
  11. Hi folks, for sale is my awesome Fender Custom Shop Jaco Pastorius from 2024. I have to thin out the herd and that‘s why I want to sell some basses. After years of buying, selling and trading it‘s time to "settle down" with just a 2 or 3 basses. This bass is in very good condition, purrs like a kitten and can sing like a bird! Wasn't played that much. Some tiny signs of wear on the fretboard. Electronics and truss-rod work with no issues. Comes with the original case and all the candies. Pick up is preferred, but maybe I can shipping to buyer's expense and risks. Maybe we can meet in person somewhere on half distance. If you need more pictures let me know. No warranty, no return and no guarantee because I am a private seller. But all informations is provided to the best of my knowledge and belief. I am open to trades, but there are only a few basses that I am interested in. Maybe Adamovic 6 String, Mattison; Ken Smith BSR 6 String, but you can try to lead my into temptation. (In case of trading we have to meet in person, no shipping!) Price is 4100 Euro.
  12. Ordered the UGreen one. I had no idea the USB socket would/might output audio. Cheers
  13. Some more photos of this lovely little U-bass, which I can't believe hasn't sold!
  14. The switch on mine used to stick occasionally so I took it to ashdown and Dave removed it for me, I didn’t use it really , he did say that they wasn’t a great idea in the first place, for headphone practice I use the Nux pro
  15. Sale only at the minute ideally but could pontentially consider trades (via pm obviously)
  16. This was my thought. It tapers wider away from the nut too so you'd likely end up with a lot of dead space to either side using a standard 12-string bridge.
  17. Haven’t played a TRB but if they’re anything like other Yamaha basses they will be well made, sweet sounding, and pretty heavy. The 35in scale may also be good or bad, depending upon your own dimensions
  18. Go Away - Strawberry Switchblade
  19. and replied
  20. Today
  21. That's a*rse about face. Come up with a set list, learn it at home and play it all at the rehearsal. Then everything has been dealt with and nothing needs "revisiting".
  22. My last gig with The Spacewasters was early Sept, we have one this Sunday and had a rehearsal on Saturday to run through the set a couple of times. More than anything it was for the 2 guitarists who in the downtime have got together and worked out "this solo is best for you/this is what I should do for rhythm underneath" sort of stuff, they got to put it into practice on Sat and the work they`ve done really went well.
  23. ETS will do one. It’ll be around EUR300. These are what Brooks Bass uses. Also, the nut width on the Dean Rhapsody 12 I had was 54mm and that was a challenge for my medium (Size 9) hands. That 7 string at 62mm would be something else. The Hamer I have is 48mm and is very comfortable, it’s just 2mm up from my Spector Euro5. https://ets-hardware.com/index.php/de/
  24. Bloody excellent idea. Thanks mate. Literally exactly what I did at that gig before using the LWA500 as a backup.
  25. The 3D printed headless bass was my highlight of the recent SW Bash. I'd love to have another noodle on it.
  26. On the plus side, at least they still know where it is, so you doing better than some
  27. When the D140F was introduced front mounting was rarely use, so they didn't come with a gasket. IMO that driver pre-dates the cab, so it probably wasn't a factory installation. The fact that it was reconed adds to that opinion. In any event yes, you should clean it up and use a new gasket or 2mm neoprene gasket tape.
