  2. I found a couple of used ones on eBay, but I think the new version is https://www.roland.com/us/products/gomixer_pro-x/. A bit more expensive but I'm thinking about new version - as well as the IG stuff, it would be great for creating live performance promo clips for a couple of bands that I'm involved in.
  3. Agreed. I was "chased" out of Guitar Guitar just last week by a young would-be slap-bass player who was set up to demo a bass literally less than 3 metres from where I was quietly noodling. He was loud and sounded awful. Bad marks to both him and to the staff for not separating us. The Epsom branch is huge so there was no need. Rant over, back to the topic 😂
  4. I think there are enough springs to change them all. However I would try the bad one first and cry for help needed.
  5. Hi guys, where can I find a gold anodized pickguard for the Fender Vintera II Bass VI? Person on the picture attached don't bother to reply to messages ... Looks like the Squier version of the pickguard don't fit. Thank you!
  6. That does look loverly but at £1k not going to be an option unfortunately
  7. Sloe Gin - Joe Bonamassa
  8. Gosh damn that looks a lot of fun
  9. Whiskey In My Whiskey — The Felice Brothers
  10. Spirits In The Material World - The Police
  11. Its tempting to me too, but I already have the Lekato (and the XVive) so I don't need to. But I do like the multiples on a charger thing.
  12. The ampeg PF50T is a lovely thing, not sure if it’s what you’re looking for but they are great for home practice and small venues, and mine is silent with no fan
  13. Now £430! Here's my Markbass cab up for sale. It is in near new condition and includes a Roqsolid cover. The top carpet has a couple of indents where the amp was placed on it. Other than that minor sign of normal use it's as new. It has been used several times at rehearsal at very low volume levels and at one gig where it was only used as a monitor as I was going through the PA. It is a great cab. A real one cab solution weighing approximately 18Kg or 40lbs. I'm 70, under 11 stone, have osteoporosis and have suffered a spinal fracture and I'm happy to lug it around. Specs briefly are 2 x 12" ceramic speakers 600 watts Piezo switchable tweeter with 2 levels of attenuation 57.8 x 60 x 47 cm https://www.markbass.it/product/mb58r-122-p-4/ Tone is very Markbass, i.e. effective. Collection or meet up only. I'm in Kendal, Lake District, NW England.

  14. All prices reduced by £5 and delivery to UK included. I made space on my pedal board for an HX One. It replaced my Xotic Bass RC Booster and the pedal I thought I'd never sell, my Creation Audio Grizzy. So I now have 5 pedals sitting around doing not a lot and a hankering for a Stomp Creation Audio Grizzly. £135 Flattley Poison Ivy Fuzz £85 Black Country Custom The 85 Octave £80 Xotic Bass RC Booster £60 TC Electronics 3rd Dimension Chorus £20 All in top condition. In fact the 85, 3rd Dim and Flattely are like new. All boxed except for the Grizzly (I will keep looking). Velcro'd as per the photos. Peter

  15. Another easy way to look at it is to look at your diagrams above where you have the two tones. In the first one, the wires that go from the centre position of the pots are joined at the jack socket. Effectively that is one piece of wire, which means you could show it as one wire joined at the pots, that goes to the jack with two switches connected to it. The second one is better for isolation, but again, if both volumes are fully up it is the same as the outside and centre being connected, which means as both centres are connected, both pickups are connected, so both switches are connected, and effectively inline. This is unavoidable with a passive circuit.
  16. The Alcoholik - Superjoint Ritual
  17. The Ampeg Micro VR looks cool but apparently the fan is really noisy so it's not well suited to playing at home quietly.
  18. Nothing. If you turn both volumes up the tones will do the same thing. However, on the LP, the way you would use it is by switching between the front and back and at that point the position of the tone control would matter on that pickup. Not only that, on an LP the volumes also can kill each other - turn the volume of one pickup to zero, and then put the switch to both pickups, you won't get any sound. But the easy way to show, if you have an LP, try it. Turn one tone full down and one up, switch betwen them, you will see one is muffled, one isn't, switch to both and it will be muffled.
  19. . Full disclosure: Slap bass played well doesn't offend me at all, and I wish I could play it better...
  20. Has that one been discontinued? I can't find it anywhere.
  21. Also can’t help but notice the very appropriate registration plate on your car. Well done all round, sir!
  22. Zilla will do a 1x12 that you can match to whatever head you want: https://www.zillacabs.com/zilla-cab-customizer Sky is the limit. White with gold corners and VOX grill cloth? You got it!
  23. Today
  24. Nicely done @Rich, must admit I hadn't considered slap as a get out of jail free strategy
  25. Still working the neck into shape, it's getting there. I wired a single pickup straight to the jack last night, so it made an electrical sound for the first time in many years! But what will delight some readers is that the extended stay outside has broken the Neutrik locking jack in the best way possible - it doesn't lock any more. Button still depresses and returns, but the jack is not held in place.
