  4. Exactly the reason for my path in the industry, it’s much more pleasant working with seasoned pros in general. It also pays MUCH better. it depends very much on the level of sound techs and engineers you are working with.
  5. Wither Without You - U2
  6. Surprised noone has mentioned The Bongolian yet
  7. Dead Flowers - Stones
  8. PM'd re. EBS Unichorus
  9. And don't forget Ibanez as a relatively lightweight option!
  10. New Church - Lords of the New Church
  11. You got it bang on... As for the smoke machine, I made it clear that it was NOT to be put on while I was near the stage.
  12. Played my 734a at an audition this week. First time I'd played it live. Through a rehearsal room cheap ashdown tone master and a cheapo hartke cab. Sounded glorious just in passive p mode. Never had people comment on a small room sound before but all members loved it. Warm, fat, but authorative. Sat in the mix lovely. Got me the gig too
  13. Welcome David.

  15. I've got loads of Sunday afternoon gigs lined up for '26. They are great - don't interfere with my social life or work!
  16. I am on the same side with @jezzaboy: all blades that I have tried (three 4 string and a 5 string) have been on a weighty side. Maybe they are good for heavy music. All had that Japanese quality feel.
  17. We get the odd Sunday Afternoon Dave but most clubs seem to want us on a Saturday night.
  18. Please send it back. The biggest issue is that it doesn't feel even as good as the previous one. Ask for a picture of the next one, if you decide to try that once more. The feel is always the most important to me. Even with lousy strings bass talks or not. Once I tried eight (if I remember correctly) Laklands and the only one that was even close to OK was a Japanese made one. US models were mediocre or worse, to me that is. Trust your own personal feelings.

  20. Immaculate Ashdown RM800 Evo III with Ashdown RM gig bag and original box. In good working order. This amp is fantastic and incredibly versatile. 800 watts into 4 ohms, 400 watts into 8ohms. Great class D amp with loads of power and features including, 5 band EQ, drive section, onboard one knob compressor, sub octave control, DI out with pre and post options, analogue cab sim and cab type, fx loop, line in and headphone out. I have too many amps, I’ve been using this one less and less since getting my ABM and I could do with the money so it’s got to go. No trades thanks. Price includes shipping to locations within the UK. Photos on the way.
  21. Brilliant Tom, well done to you guys. Enjoy the future 👋

  23. It wouldn't bother 'me' unduly if it was a keeper, but if I wanted to re-sell I could see why it would bother potential buyers. So for that reason I'd return it.
  24. Those Boba Fuzz pedals are fantastic, it's a 1:1 clone of the Zvex Mammoth with an added mids control on the Body dial. Looks like Vinnie's knocked his eBay shop on the head as well so there's no new ones available
