  2. You're welcome. Several colors but I don't know why they don't make white to go along with the black ones, instead of blue, pink, red, yellow and green.
  3. Likewise. I have a soft spot for Consuls, we drove to NE Spain in a Consul - 4 adults & 3 children (those were the days, no seatbelts or max occupancy )!
  4. Haz - Labs envelope filter pedal. The pedal is in fantastic condition and comes with it’s original box.

  5. I guess it's just the difference of how two different speakers, one being your FOH and one being your IEM, produce the same sound. The extra digital desk channel suggestion above is a good one, however in the absence of that, there may be a compromise available whereby if you like your tone out front, you could make do with a slightly less pleasing sound in your ears in the knowledge that the audience are hearing you the way that you want them to.
  6. Gig in a small East Yorkshire village at a smallish pub. A bit of a change for us as we’ve grown accustomed to larger venues, still it was a nice change. It was a nightmare on set up, plug points in the worst places and the unforgiving tiled floor….fortunately we displayed the Yorkshire ‘it’ll be reet’ philosophy. All went well apart from them turning the lights right down and we handing put all our lights up. Cue a fair few fretting errors from me as the monitoring was pish and I was using the Sandberg Lionel that doesn’t have front dots….
  7. That's a 'Farnham conversion' by Abbott's of Farnham, a famous coach-builders who spotted a gap in the market when Ford failed to offer an estate version of the Zephyr & Zodiac. AI Overview: Zodiac Farnham conversions were estate car, or station wagon, variants of the Ford Zephyr and Zodiac (MkII, MkIII, and MkIV) saloons, coachbuilt by E.D. Abbott Ltd in Farnham, Surrey, between the mid-1950s and early 1970s. These rare, high-quality conversions featured extended roofs, unique rear tailgates, and sometimes bespoke GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) components. Abbotts sourced brand-new cars direct from Dagenham, then did the conversion to Ford standard, re-using as many components as they could. That tailgate looks odd because it's actually built around the original rear windscreen. The completed vehicles were then sold through official Ford dealers. I had to buy a Farnham simply because it was the only classic car that would accept a 7/8 DB.
  8. Same here. We had enough regular Consuls, Zephyrs and Zodiacs though. If I understand the WP article correctly, the estates of the Mk II were conversions.
  9. I put one in my Squier Jag SS. Didn't like it as much as the original in my 76 Mustang but preferred it to the stock P and the Entwhistle that was too deep for the cavity.
  10. What is the bridge string spacing on a Mustang? My Jim Deacon shorties are very narrow at the bridge.
  11. It was during the covid time as well, so.... started end of 2019 into 2020, got it finished bout 2023, he normally does bout 10 builds at the same time as he did mine, but did ask him to change certain things during the process, but still shouldnt of taken 3 years.. his builds are really good, but the lack of upates and emails fail below par..
  12. To concur with EZbabes, I don't think it's worth the time and effort. My 2 main gigging basses are a JMJ Mustang and a Sandberg Lionel with an EMG Geezer Butler pickup, one of most highly regarded Precision pickups. In terms of tone, the JMJ is way more P like, as in pretty much identical to a P albeit with a bit more of that short scale fat low end. The Sandberg is way more polite in comparison, and for tastes, doesn't come close to the classic P sound as the pickup position is around 10-15mm closer to the bridge compared to the JMJ.
  13. If anything changes please let me know - I'm happy to help.😉
  14. I think you can dismantle these and make them right-handed. Pop the gear off the plate, remove/rotate the stem, reassemble.
  15. Sorry to hear about the health issues, Misdee - I hope you feel better soon!🤗 I'm glad to hear you're still playing - man you've got a gem of a bass there! Yeah, I'm a sucker for a Jazz Bass neck profile - Lakland makes some fantastic basses.😃
  16. I wouldn’t have thought so. However, given the smaller ‘window’ of a Mustang pickup and the narrower string spacing, there might be some string to string, volume issues.
  17. Can't say scientifically - but probably not enough to justify cost of routing, new pickup and new pickguard. Of course, your bass after all. Sure it would look cool enough.
  18. W…T…A…F?!!!
  19. Today
  20. Just bought a cab off Steve. Really helpful and good to deal with. Thank you so much!
  21. Quite so. My dad had a Zodiac, albeit a saloon. I don’t remember ever seeing an estate version before though.
  22. Is there any point in putting a Mustang pickup in a shortie P bass? Is there enough of a difference?
  23. I've just been banging on elsewhere about the band I play for supporting Space yesterday. Their bassist used one of these and it sounded great, did a good job for him. GLWTS Chris
  24. It’s kind of up to the FOH guy. Usually as high as you can get it without overloading the PA desk. Once you’ve run your DI cable to the PA get whoever is on the faders to tell you if they want more or less.
