  1. Past hour
  2. If it's all I'm taking, I favour something 'real' that doesn't have to boot up. For example I personally wouldn't entertain the HX stuff without a backup because my very-light-home-use-only HX Stomp no longer boots - it just sits there with the backlight on but nothing happening. Support told me I was out of warranty/luck and could pay somebody to look at it if I wanted, but tbh it was never useful enough to warrant throwing good money after bad, so it's a paperweight. Fly Rig v2 is a good unit for travelling light (or at very least I like mine) but make sure you mark the positions of your settings, as the little knobs and buttons are easily scrambled in transit.
  3. Oh dear. I suppose because I'm white British I should only be playing for Morris dancers!
  4. Yes, for a Cheap Trick tribute in the USA, called Cheap Trip. The customer now owns 7 Brooks 12-string bass guitars...😵
  5. I just realised yesterday that Darryl Anders of MXR has been a member of my FI Facebook group for 3 years. Now I know where he got all the good ideas from. 😂
  6. No problem, this has an active BTS circuit and the battery is mounted under the control plate. It has bass & treble cut and boost on the preamp.
  7. Unused 5 string clamp for headless bass. £40 posted. Unused ABM 5 String Bridge £70 posted. Really nice quality bridge. Used Schaller 2000 bridge £40 posted. A few marks where the saddle screws touch the bass plate.
  8. Having a bit of a hardware clear out. I have a few sets of machine heads that I wont be using. All are new and unused but the boxes show signs of wear/age. Schaller BMF in black £60 posted Schaller M5-2000 5 string £60 posted Schaller M5-2000 5 string £60 posted Schaller Guitar Tuners £70 posted Schaller M4 Gold 2 a-side £55 posted
  9. Pianists: "Hold my beer"
  10. Bought for a spare pedal board a while back, but never actually got to use it much. Pretty much mint condition. £100

  11. I honestly find these type of people to be idiots that would only be getting annoyed by something else when they were drunk. The Corrs are hardly a traditional band playing rebel songs but mixing folk with pop. I guess Phil Lynott should never have picked up an electric guitar either and introduced that American rock sound and diluted the purity of the gaelic music.
  12. Cheers Shaggy, I think so too, the new bridge makes all the difference and the single truss rod with dual action once set it does not move incredible , so easy to set a Rick up now. this one plays like a dream with the flat profile neck so thin compared to any other Rick I have had over 40 of them, it is perfect has the growl, the feel, and looks not too shabby either, only selling due to ill health, will hate putting my Spector up.
  13. Try waving a magnet around, particularly in corners
  14. It should be an M2 x 2.5mm slotted cheese head screw. Closest I can find is 3mm long rather than 2.5.... on the up side, you'll have 19 spare ones though. Mind you, the postage will probably cost more than the screws... https://www.westfieldfasteners.co.uk/Bolts-Screws-Metric/Machine-Screw-Slotted-Cheese-M2x3-A2-Stainless.html
  15. The band plays rock’n’roll and a bit of country. ’Coward of the County’ was a massive crossover hit in 1979.
  16. Is it any good? I am kinda tempted just because of the Agro pedal in plugin form.
  17. …. sort of bass I’d expect to see Jack White playing
  18. Decided to put up my awesome (and unfortunately no longer made) Spector LT5 in Violet Fade for sale. This has been my main touring bass for the last two years and has seen some action at Glastonbury, Green Man and many more festivals that I can't even remember! Despite being my main bass I have really looked after the bass and it's in excellent condition. No dings or dents just light surface scratches that every guitar gets from being played! The bass has a 3 piece maple neck with alder body wings and a very nice flamed maple top, which is almost holographic and almost impossible to photo! 😂 The bass has a very nice ebony fingerboard, MOP Spector crown inlays, Gotoh lightweight tuners, brass nut, Dunlop straplocks, Custom wound to Spector spec Bartolini pickups and Darkglass preamp, and thr finish is so good it's ridiculously reflective and shiny.. again making it difficult to take good photos! The bass plays very nicely and sounds phenomenal. The bass is 35" scale and the low B is the best I've experienced on a high end bass. Currently strung with Dunlop Super Bright Steels. Sale includes the Spector gig bag. Looking for £1800 due to excellent condition and I think collection is needed. I have the boxes it came in but I don't feel comfortable shipping it without a hardcase.

  19. Really like the look of that.
  20. Too early to tell on the MXR - I mean it will be the best seller at the moment as it has just been released so everyone will rush out and get it. See how it is selling when it has been out as long as the SY has been out.
  21. JDI sold
  22. TECH 21 VT bass DI preamp pedal , XLR out, great for recording , Brand new . £170 MY FEEDBACK ON B.C.

  23. It's perception that's the problem. Doesn't matter if the band are being respectful, but if 300 in the audience decide the band isn't then there's going to be trouble. That's why I favour an introduction to remove any wrong ideas from the crowd. I don't think I've ever heard that Rogers tune. I wouldn't pick that for a pub gig!
  24. At (possibly) the other end of the scale, I played at Sandhurst one time. The band (which boasted 4 female singers - two lead and two backing) did an astoundingly good version of Runaway by The Corrs. The girls voices blended beautifully, and it was almost magical to hear them. Some of the audience were up in arms about us performing a song by an Irish band. One guy had to be restrained from approaching the stage.
