  1. Past hour
  2. It really is a great pedal
  3. Excellent creative night tonight.
  4. No cover, though there was a cover that it lived in but I've taken that now for my hartke. I can't remember exactly but it came direct from EBS in Sweden in 2019 I think about autumn time. So coming up to 6 years, been well looked after.
  5. Had a debrief on Saturday night whilst waiting for drummer to arrive - he’d warned he’d be a bit late. Took the Tokai and Darkglass Anagram and plugged the latter into the effects return which worked well. Only the second time in anger, but it’s pretty intuitive so adding effects and tweaking foot-switch assignments was a couple of quick clicks. Once we got started a couple of new songs mapped out and a few songs for Saturday’s set run through .
  6. Just had a great rehearsal. We started by regining the structure ofour 'standout' song. Then my Deep Purple/Black Sabbath style slow riff song, and we added a double tempo bridge. Really chuffed thst everyone likes it. Then the backing singer shared something barely audible on his phone and I came up with a line that worked and everyone joined in, but this one is more like Kraftwerk so we're covering a fair range. Then we worked up a song the lead singer had previously recorded as just vicals and acoustic. We are all enjoying the creativity.
  7. Well, first outing for the SX. I really can't believe how good it sounded in the band mix. This is a definite keeper!
  8. It's the same workshop with the original workbench where Leo worked when it was the original Fender factory, so a lot of classic Fender design work was originated there too.
  9. I’m really enjoying it atm!
  10. I'm wondering if it's not such a mad idea after all. You could alternate gigs with O Fortuna: Carl Orff to bring in some vocals and maybe the Dies Irae I actually think Zarathustra at really high volume would probably just impress the audience and maybe even drag people in just to see what was going on. You don't get bassier than a 32' stop after all. If you haven't seen it, this might be interesting. There's a link to do the measurements using some free open source software.
  11. Could potentially be open to Canadian Dingwalls to trade. Afterburner 1 or 2 or Z most likely!
  12. These need no introduction but this metal grill super compact is now surplus to requirements after a Super Twin lead me into temptation. Cab is in great condition and has probably done less than 20 gigs for me.it comes with a padded cover made by Hotcovers Spec from Barefaced : Dimensions (H x W x D)56cm x 44cm x 30cm 22" x 17.5" x 12" Weight Steel Grill 11kg / 23.5lbs Broadband Sensitivity97dB Max Amp Power600W RMS Max Output~127dB Frequency Range30Hz -4kHz Impedance8 ohms i’d prefer collection but also happy to meet up within an hour or so drive. I’m over in the Manchester area regularly as well. and I do now have a suitable box if someone wants to arrange shipping Asking £475 - sorry but not looking for any trades right now.
  13. But, annoyingly for the rest of us, you seem to have sufficient other talents to more than compensate. Spare a thought for those of use without such balancing abilities in other areas🤪
  14. Robbed Blind - Keef
  15. You seem to be acing it so far.
  16. Today
  17. Hi, my Markbass CMD121P combo is noticeably quieter than it used to be with the same bass guitar. I’m having volume trouble even in small venues. There’s a company in Sheffield I could send it to but the minimum labour charge is £79 plus Vat. I’m wondering if it would be best to buy a spare amp head and have that installed. Any suggestions please?
  18. He was on Joe Rogan's show the other day and he said he just does it as a laugh. You'd think he had better things to do, like send rockets into space, or something.
  19. Mine is the PJ, not JJ. It sounds nothing like a Fender PJ. The jazz Bridge sounds nothing like a fender jazz bridge pickup and the P pickup sounds nothing like a Fender P pickup. The preamp seems to be really aggressive. They are kind of their own thing, Spectors just sound like Spectors.
  20. I have a lot of friends working there, and they know me well enough to know I won't buy one new - still I'm sure I can persuade them to get me one to try anyway.
  21. If you hold down the footswitch the lights start flashing, then you can scroll through the presets using the footswitch. I'm not keen on pressing the little button with my foot, seems like it's asking for trouble in the long run.
  22. I feel that may be all in good time...all in good time....!
  23. Ah good, Glad you sorted it in the end
