  2. Since the OP mentioned Belgium as the destination I feel obliged to communicate that I am currently pursuing a case of commercial misconduct against FedEx Benelux. I’ll spare everybody the details, but needless to say it involved fraudulent activity on behalf of that courier company and loss/theft of the package. It’s being investigated and it is separately insured. By way of sharing my “Belgian” experience, I have found GLS is sloppy overall, UPS poorly served in Flemish district and BPost (the national equivalent to Royal Mail) is slow, but steady. DPD has a clean sheet with me at present and I have no affiliation or special “fufu” dust to sprinkle to ensure that it stays that way. As others have mentioned, ensure adequate insurance and record every action involved. Having a comprehensive dossier to present to the police, courier investigators etc should assist comprehensive follow up. Good luck whoever you choose.
  3. My mate calls them scratchguards. Drives me loopy.
  4. I hate lazy renaming of things too. While I'm at it, string instruments have a fingerboard, because the wooden board glued onto the neck doesn't necessarily have frets. It's not a fretboard.
  5. What a great colour! Looks fantastic against that fretboard.
  6. Feel of the neck and I prefer the look of this style bridge with the heavier saddles and side bolts.
  7. still for sale and will you post for a price?

  13. On reflection and based on my own experience I should have said: "Provided that you aren't using the same frequency for both systems in theory you should be fine. In reality, a wireless IEM system is more likely to have issues due to either the quality of system used or environment (i.e. other devices competing for the same frequency band)." 😉
  14. What did you prefer over the ebmm
  15. Amen to that brother. The loosest of Satans' stools and about as appetising. Absolutely, as if each isn't hideous enough on its own the effect is multiplied exponentially when the 2 are combined. But hey, if someone wants to play something that looks like the inside of a nappy with a big plastic scab stuck over the top who am I to stop them? Which leads me onto... Pickguard. Since when did this become a thing? It's a bloody scratch plate, always has been and always will be so why are da yoof and kewl kidz all calling them pickguards now? See also plectrums. Why are they now called picks? Why wasn't I consulted on any of this? Stingrays. Why? It's a bit like a bass but with an insufferable overbearing nasal midrange that obliterates everything that makes our beloved instrument sound so pleasant.
  16. Oh yes, I can add "people who call my octave mandolin a guitar" 😡
  17. Who is the dealer? (just so I can avoid them in future!) Did you pay by credit card? You'll have some protection there if they're not honouring the warranty. Otherwise, I'd keep hounding the dealer - turn up on their doorstep with guitar and receipt in hand if you can.
  18. I'm using a shure glxd+ system for instruments and xvive u4 for iem. never had any issues.
  19. i use mine for Mama I'm coming home - the intro Anything Duff has played on.
  20. Yes, the sound is definitely cleaner with much better high frequency content.
  21. Or perhaps 'Fender Tax or another two personally-spec'd bass builds?' I'm not a fan of brands in general, particularly slapped on what amount to little more than mix & match parts-box basses - as all Fender designs have become.
  22. Very high quality Hall reverb with that lovely infinite reverb effect. Boxed and complete with sticker, guide, unused stick on rubber feet. I’ve tested it and then put it away as it doesn’t have a battery option and I no longer use a powered pedalboard. Like new. Price includes UK postage.

  23. Electro-Harmonix Clone Theory Vintage Chorus Pedal NYC Made 70’s/80’s This is the one made famous in the 80’s by musicians including Peter Hook, John McGeoch and again later by Kirk Cobain. You can get sweeping chorus, subtle vibrato, to mad flange and synth like sounds from this unit. It’s a hard wired mains unit and the casing has plenty of dings and touch ups to the paint. It works perfectly and sounds great. These are quite rare now. I’ve owned two and this is the one that is all original. It’s an old pedal and like most vintage EH gear a bit noisy but it’s not a particular issue for live gigs.
