If I won the lottery and had no kids or a mortgage -
Being a shameless Mesa fanboy (I've had a Mk IV guitar combo and a Stereo 2:50 power amp) gigged a Carbine M6 for years, currently have a WB Scout and a 400+, I'm interested in @agedhorse view or the industry take on new solid state analogue amps. The new Gallien RB Legacy heads were a huge surprise, they're big, heavy and really expensive and seem to be bucking the trend that we're seeing with the move to class D. I thought the Fusion 550 would be the last big analogue GK but was wrong. I look at the RB Legacy (I own 3 GKs) and wonder what customers, that don't have a road crew, touring budget and trucks, are going to buy them. Mesa must've gauged the market and conceptualised, however briefly, doing a modern take on a Carbine/BigBlock/Titan? Like a WD/TT/BD-800 front end with a big analogue power section?

Came across this by chance and was thinking that if not you Andy, someone here should 👍 -
1979 was actually the best year in the 80s for music! So many great songs that year

Huh? Whut? Did someone say something? 😂 Blimey that's an OLD video! I look young!! I think GI are recycling previously released material - which is no bad thing. Not that I earn any more for reusing 'em!

I can't find the car thread but the immortal line that sticks with me is "Mate, your f***ing cab has broken my car.....". We got the 1516 in the back, were walking around to the front seats to get in when we heard an ominous crack from the suspension. The rest, as they say, is history 👍

Here's the first, it still makes me laugh every time I think about it mate......

1986 😆 and thank you 🤘🏻

I shall be taking both my 400+ and a Monaco (two actually) to the SW + SE Bashes if anyone is interested. Hearing the 400+ vs the 800D through the same cabs would be interesting.
-
Would you like a slot at the SE Bass Bash to regale us with your 1516 dits, Chris? I'd be front row, obviously 😀

We were originally a 4pce, but the original bass player left. The remaining 3 of us are original yep…. I was the singer, but also took over on bass when the original guy left around 20yrs ago.

Small "Hifi" amp head recommendations sought!

I did, and do you know what? I really didn’t like it! It sounded a bit too “hard” to my ears and the power amp side was really hissy/noisy when only turned up 40-50% By comparison, the PJB D400 was pretty silent on the power side, but was too noisy for me at the preamp stage. To be fair to the GR, the preamp/DI was really quiet. Having to disable the fan every time I turned it on was tedious. So, this too has gone back. The next step will be to try the Eich. Did I mention earlier that I’m really picky? I sometimes envy those who just buy stuff and get on with it… -
