I got it at GAK March 2024 as an early birthday present - I sorted it out through one of the staff there Ryan who I had a few email conversations with about it. My local luthier set it up for me with the new strings and the old ones are included. I assume it was made in late 23 or very early 24 as it’s a newer model and relatively recent addition to the Hofner range. I’ve enclosed pictures of the booklet which has the matching serial number to the inside label - you can even see the name of the craftsman handwritten on the label. Hofner really know how to make something special. I’m sure Hofner would be able to find the exact date for you if needed. If you want pictures of the inside label and serial number and are seriously interested please PM me.

I'm moving studios and plenty of unused gear has to go.. here goes.. : One of the most coveted channel strips ever made, highly sought after for all the right reasons. Known for its silky preamps, musical EQ, smooth compressor, and legendary Silk/Texture circuit, this unit brings the unmistakable Rupert Neve sound into a modern, versatile package. This was one of the final designs Rupert Neve personally oversaw before his passing (not to be confused with later not-similar editions..) — a true piece of recording history that is likely to appreciate in value over time. Condition & Service: Lived in a smoke-free (greasy fingers free !) climate-controlled studio rack, with very little use. Professionally serviced in 2024 by Audio Circuit (Brighton). I absolutely love this piece — it’s incredible for tracking vocals, strings , bass, guitar , synth etc, mixing, EQ shaping, de-essing, compression, passing, and adding that unmistakable Neve warmth and depth to anything you can think of really ! Unfortunately, my current work flow and touring doesn’t put this unit to much work and it’s taking up valuable space. Otherwise, I would never sell. Now , for bass - electric and double. - this is unbelievably HUGE ! the silk switch adds such subtle saturation (or extreme ) and along with compression and flexible EQ you have one of the best channel strips that done well - by a long shot ! if you are doing any remote recording or sessions - this is very much at the top and meeting any client demands easily and with true Neve quality ! Input Section Input signals may be derived from any of three sources; Microphone, Line or DI. The Microphone input has a 10K Ohm non-reactive input resistance that handles a full 26dBu signal without the need for a pad. Yamaha BB1100s for sale only. I bought this last year, it`s a made in Taiwan model and in good nick these are going for £400 plus but this has a few issues. The body has some dings as in the photo`s and a weird scuff just in front of the bridge. The 3 way pickup selector switch is worn, it works fine in Jazz or P but wont stay in the middle position to select both pickups. The active/passive circuit works fine. The G tuning peg has an issue, @AndyTravis I think it was? spoke about it in the BB topic in the Bass Guitars section. When you tune the G up the peg actually moves up as you can see in the photo. Can`t remember the fix but I think you need a small rare as rocking horse poo spanner to sort? Or another tuner. Weight is 4.1 kg or 9 lb`s. I will replace the strap pins back to the originals. It has a replacement Gotoh bridge. Collection from Paisley preferred but I have a Andertons double box in the work that I can put it in but you can sort out postage. If thinking of buying please be aware of the above issues.
