  1. Past hour
  2. Quick demo of the bass as I received it. Dead rounds with some foam at the bridge. Enjoy 😎 Motown Blues (Jan 26).wav
  3. Slip Sliding Away - Paul Simon
  4. I would like Boss to make an updated MS-3 with more loops (6?) and options for parallel paths, plus all of the GX range effects also embedded. Make it powered by an IEC cable and include a pedal power supply too.
  5. Oh absolutely - It's not a bad pedal by any means and certainly does a good job of what it's intending to do. The only thing I can thing digitally that comes close is the SA C4, but I doubt you'll find anything better than the OC-5 for the guitar stuff you mentioned. It just doesn't do the soloed OC-2 thing as well analogue, which in reality is likely a small percentage of it's intended target audience.
  6. One of my favourite 1x12 cabs - incredibly solid in build and tone. This looks like an incredible bargain
  7. The Boss WL-20 is an amazing wireless dongle. It’s great at open mics (or anywhere you swap instruments) as the ‘little switch’ cuts it when you pull it out so there’s no ‘pop’. No finding the tuner or other mute. Just pull it out and stick it in the next one! It’s easy to charge the two dongles together and it lasts forever. I can do a rehearsal an open mic and a gig on one charge. But it only comes in 2.4ghz :-(. I’ve had to stop using mine live because the interference is so bad. If there was a 5.8ghz version I’d get one straight away!
  8. For sale, a Hipshot Kickass bridge (4 string) in chrome. This has been hanging around in a drawer with lots of other bridges and bits and bobs. It looks new though I suspect it's been fitted previously (but not by me). It comes with the adjustment key, 5 screws and the replacement/extra saddles shown in the image. It's a standard replacement Fender pattern. The bridges sometimes come with a couple of springs but the latter weren't supplied when I bought the bridge. I should be able to ship for around £3.00 in the UK. Any questions please just ask
  9. Heres mine
  10. I’m pretty confident that everyone who sold one of these regretted it pretty quickly 👍
  11. This was the result of some experiments I carried out on stacking cabs. To cut a long story short, it's important when stacking to keep the bass drivers as close as possible. With cabs that have a tweeter on top, that means placing the bottom one on its side, with the top one in its normal orientation.
  12. My blue sparkle
  13. Two used cables - a Fender Custom Shop Tweed (S-RA) 18.5ft, and a Fender Standard Coiled (S-RA) 30ft. Both tested and fully functional. Condition is used but very good. These seem to go for £19 and £27.50 respectively without postage, so hopefully £27.50 for both shipped in the UK is reasonable. Bank transfer only please as I can't currently use Paypal
  14. Hardware wise, he’s using a mix of Roland TD30 module, SPDSX Pro, Yamaha DTX 12 & occasionally pulls out a rather nice kit of triggers that look like maple drums. We both use Logic to host our software. My MacBook is running the bulk of the synth stuff & we slave his Logic to mine (I hit play, his runs in sync). I’ve no recordings of our stuff with the singer that I can share as yet, but I’ll try & get something up soon.
  15. My typical settings playing with a pick with Pre Shape ON and compressor ON post EQ I add back low mids just to bring the tone out a bit and the combination of Pre Shape and pick works well Pre Shape adds 50hz boost which you cannot achieve from the bass control EQ as it’s 70hz
  16. Agreed. I have a Markbass Compressore that I've stopped using since I got the Trace. The compressor's that good.
  17. In vintage mode, the OC-5 responded almost identically to the OC-2. If you're actively noticing a difference in latency, that's very odd. The other mode is an entirely different matter, but on the one I had, the vintage mode did not suffer any latency.
  18. Yep that's nice, I just feel the tuners extend far too much beyond the body contour - something Ibanez managed to deal with on the EHB.
  19. What product, that doesn't currently exist, do you think a specific manufacturer should produce? I have a smattering of Waza-craft pedals in my Boss pedal collection, but I don't think there has been a bass-specific waza pedal. To remedy this, I think a Bass Chorus, CEB-3w, would be a good idea. This would be like any CEB-3, but with the addition of a mini-switch to select whether it has the sound of the current CEB-3 or the earlier pink label analog version.
  20. I've been absent from this feast for a while. Interesting to catch up on developments. The Swiff definitely looks like an interesting option. I'm still wired but if I went wireless the Swiff is really attractive. I'd have thought that offering your singer stereo would be where I might go first if you have a spare aux. Or try it yourself. Just knowing what advantages it brings might be useful to know when the next upgrade comes along.
  21. Landslide - Fleetwood Mac
  22. Virtually new Fender Bassman 100 cover from Roqsolid, i got it to use while my flightcase was being manufactured so was only used briefly. Its a little dusty but will wipe. They're about £65 new + shipping Cover is in Hope Valley, happy to post within UK, probably gonna cost a tenner just for how small it doesn't fold up.
  23. For sale, my Octave Mandola OR Octave Mandolin (they are the same thing). Shorter scale than an Irish Bouzouki, this one is tuned GDAE in unison pairs (or courses). Condition is excellent, not quite mint and includes a nice TGI gig bag that is a perfect fit. Mandola is in Hope Valley (S33 6SB) for local collection or I could deliver locally too. Could attempt uk posting but it isn't as solid as a bass so I'd be a bit wary of that.
  24. Brand new, never opened as I got it as a spare when our old drummer used to sing, (Levon not Phil btw), clearing boxes to make space for new toys... Specs... 3/8" female thread 3/8" male thread Diameter: 15 mm Length: 400 mm Material: Aluminium Weight: 0.32 kg Finish: Black These are currently £20 new (+ postage) from thomann, this one is also new. It's in Hope Valley but I'll include uk postage.
  25. A few more bits from my now much tidier box of stuff, £20 inc uk postage for the whole bundle or prices as below. 2no Diago brand 18v adaptors (£15 +p&p each new) £15 inc uk postage for the pair. 4no PedalSnake brand 9v right angle power extenders £10 inc uk postage for the 4. They're all in Hope Valley if you're passing but uk postage is easily sorted for these.
