  2. Fearless Pink Floyd
  3. This was on my board for a few years, never let me down but just fancied a change so I’ve got a boss chorus on the board now. The toneprint options make it a pretty versatile pedal, found myself mostly using the Duff McKagan toneprint. No original box for this unfortunately but will be packaged securely. Price includes postage in the UK, cheers
  4. Got this in a trade on here recently but it’s just not got much use. Between the green Russian and the grey stache that I own I have my fuzz needs covered. This one is two big muffs running in parallel, one of them has a standard tone control, the other has a mid boost/cut. Certainly a lot to play with and a lot of sounds to be gotten out of it! No original box with this but will be packaged securely. Price will include postage in the UK
  5. I got it at GAK March 2024 as an early birthday present - I sorted it out through one of the staff there Ryan who I had a few email conversations with about it. My local luthier set it up for me with the new strings and the old ones are included. I assume it was made in late 23 or very early 24 as it’s a newer model and relatively recent addition to the Hofner range. I’ve enclosed pictures of the booklet which has the matching serial number to the inside label - you can even see the name of the craftsman handwritten on the label. Hofner really know how to make something special. I’m sure Hofner would be able to find the exact date for you if needed. If you want pictures of the inside label and serial number and are seriously interested please PM me.
  6. Very high quality Hall reverb with that lovely infinite reverb effect. Boxed and complete with sticker, guide, unused stick on rubber feet. I’ve tested it and then put it away as it doesn’t have a battery option and I no longer use a powered pedalboard. Like new. Price includes UK postage.

  7. Electro-Harmonix Clone Theory Vintage Chorus Pedal NYC Made 70’s/80’s This is the one made famous in the 80’s by musicians including Peter Hook, John McGeoch and again later by Kirk Cobain. You can get sweeping chorus, subtle vibrato, to mad flange and synth like sounds from this unit. It’s a hard wired mains unit and the casing has plenty of dings and touch ups to the paint. It works perfectly and sounds great. These are quite rare now. I’ve owned two and this is the one that is all original. It’s an old pedal and like most vintage EH gear a bit noisy but it’s not a particular issue for live gigs.

  8. Basses that look like highly figured table tops. Sandberg headstocks. Flats. Straight jackplugs out of the body. Strat jackplates. Referring to a bass as she or her. Gig bags that aren't fit for purpose. While I ran a Darkglass AO900 head for a while, I didn't bond with it, so Darkglass AO900 heads. Reissues that are simply all wrong. Reissues.
  9. The Aria please, thank you 😊
  10. QSC CP12 Active PA Speaker 1000 Watts One of two - priced individually or for a small discount if sold as a pair. This speaker is as new and has not been used since purchase. It comes with additional QSC waterproof cover for outdoor use. Very powerful speakers however I’m downsizing and selling my larger portable PA gear. Street price is £579 cheapest I can find so this is a good saving. The covers cost an extra £67. The user manual is included. I have two of these for sale. I can knock off £40 if you buy the pair. Pickup definitely preferred but talk to me if this is impossible. UK only. Postage would be at buyer’s cost and I’d need to source packaging as the boxes have been recycled. These speakers get glowing reviews in Sound on Sound magazine - https://www.soundonsound.com/reviews/qsc-cp-series I own a pair of QSC CP8s which are perfectly fine for keyboard monitoring and rehearsal PA so these aren’t needed now for personal use. Specifications from QSC below - Features Class-D amplifier with 1000W peak power output Selectable contours (presets) for quick setup Advanced DSP with Intrinsic Correction™ Superior sound quality and speaker protection Directivity Matched Transition™ (DMT) ensures uniform coverage across the entire sound field Suitable for use as a main PA, stage monitor or instrument amplifier 35mm pole mount socket Lightweight and incredibly portable Specifications Configuration: Two-Way Active Low Frequency Driver: 12'' Cone Woofer High Frequency Driver: 1.4'' Compression Frequency Response: 49Hz - 20kHz, -6dB 47Hz - 20kHz, -10dB Sound Pressure Level: 126dB (Maximum) Nominal Coverage: 75° Axisymetric Amplifier Type: Class-D Amplifier Power: 1000W (Peak) Input Connectors: 2 x XLR/TRS Combo (Line and Mic/Line) 1 x 3.5mm TRS Stereo Output Connector: 1 x XLR (Mix) Controls: Power 2 x Gain Mic Boost Push Switch 6-Way Contour Selection Switch Indicators: Power LED 2 x Input Signal LEDs Input B MIC Selected LED Limiter Active LED Power Supply: 100V - 240V, 50Hz/60Hz Enclosure Material: Polypropylene Grille: 18 Gauge Powder Coated Steel Dimensions: 516mm x 350mm x 323mm / 20.3'' x 13.8'' x 12.7'' (H x W x D) Weight: 13.7kg / 30.3lbs

  11. Greatest speaker to improve any TC Electronic with 8 inches speakers. GLWYS.
  12. Roland SH-09 Vintage Mono Synth 1980 Classic early Roland synth in working condition. The synth works well for a 45 year old but could do with a service. The keys all trigger, a couple have been repaired many years ago and the bottom F can miss fire occasionally. The portamento slider is a little wayward and probably needs a new slider. All the other knobs and switches work as they ought to and the synth plays in tune up and down the board. There are a couple of replacement slider caps. There are some rusty patches on the fascia. That said it sounds fantastic, easy to use with PWM and a sub oscillator. A classic mono synth for a reasonable price. Pickup preferred but can send in the UK at buyer’s cost.

  13. Our singer is saying that she's getting an electrical sensation when holding the microphone. Someone suggested that the phantom power might be on on the mixer. However, I can't remember seeing the phantom power light on on the mixer and the guitarist said he checked it was off. The sensation is all the time. She's tried a different mic, changed the cable, stood a a rubber floor mat, not stood on the mat. Still the same. The phantom power seemed the obvious culprit but apparently not (unless there's a fault in the desk). Any ideas? Ta.

  15. I've got packaging so I can ship this now.
  16. Well, I still love and play my first ever bass - an Aria SB700 - and have and play the basses I bought 33 and 24 years ago and my 20 year old Frankenjazz, I guess not. That said I bought a Sandberg this year, which I love. But that doesn’t mean I’ve abandoned the others.
  17. Thanks both, much appreciated, I have a starting point now. Got to spend more time with the levels as I build an effect. Cheers, Darren.
  18. BBE Opto Stomp Optical Compressor This is an early one with the blue led. It's in pretty good condition with a few marks from age and use. Works of a battery or a 9v PSU. Comes with original box and bits n bobs. They're on Fleabay for £150 odd but that's daft money so it's up here for £75.00

  19. I don't remember the names but several RH players have had the strap on their right shoulder. Try it!
  20. In the black area where neck meets the body, you could round the neck end concave instead of convex.

  22. What made you pick up that first bass at the start of this long and winding road? 2 mates had just got guitars, so I thought we could get it together, and hey, bass is easier right?! It made sense though, I loved rhythm and wanted to be a drummer. Do you still have the same fire and enthusiasmr? Do you still love it? Yes, and yes. What has changed along the way? While still young I had to stop being in bands due to health issues. That was tough, although by then I’d worked out session work felt soulless and pointless to me, and making it in a band was highly unrealistic. I loved my last band but it badly impacted my health as I really should have fully stopped by then, and actually already had done for a couple of years. Your taste in music, taste in basses? All been pretty steady. What was the first bass? Rockwood LX100B And what’s the latest? Completely unexpectedly, I got a fretless Stingray and a Stingray Special within days of each other last month.
  23. I’m still waiting for a knock on the door from Nicky Campbell (he’s a knob BTW) or Davina McCall… ”you didn’t know it, but here’s your spare son”
  24. I played cello as a kid. Wasn't bad at it. Noticed I understood things about music that most people didn't. Stopped in my late teens, mixture of other pressures. In my forties, I noticed I thought of myself as musical without ever picking an instrument up. So I guess I got here by embarrassing myself into it.
