  2. Dave Mustaine has claimed that he built them now
  3. Haha. Been there plenty of times. One of my guitarists much have 3-4 drive type pedals on his board. When they are all off it sounds great, but when he engages any of them it all goes to pot. But still he asks which combination we prefer 😁
  4. Fender high mass bridge: good choice and pretty good value as high mass bridges go. 👍
  5. Hi, For sale the above, in full working order and great condition. Not needed now, recording finished. Price includes UK Mainland Delivery.
  6. Big fan of Hohner stuff, I have a fretted jazz (with volute) and it’s an absolute banger, very underrated. GLWTS
  7. Ooops. That will teach me not to go on line while the boss is around 😎
  8. Seymour Duncan SCPB-3 Quarter Pound Single Coil P-Bass Pickup. I bought this new a few years ago and never used it. Postage at cost. Details here: https://www.seymourduncan.com/single-product/quarter-pound-single-coil-p-bass
  9. "77 homes, son, just 77. And for God's sake, build them quietly."
  10. One, which was remedied really quickly too
  11. Hi All. Player from the States here scouring the internet to see if my fellow low end friends can help me track down dimensions/tracing of custom G&L L2000 Tribute pickguard. I just picked up a left-handed model so I figured it would be easier to find a right handed template and flipping it so my luthier can start working. I found a template from Talkbass however it doesn't seem to fit the tribute without some modifications to the lower horn and the pickups. I suspect it may be for a regular or older L2000 and maybe there were some slight differences in the body dimensions. Any direction would be greatly appreciated. - Matt
  12. Decided to sell my Mono M80 dual bass case. Used literally twice to get me to studios and back so pretty much brand new. An excellent and well-designed piece of kit but I’ve come to the realisation that my back can’t manage two of my basses in one big case on public transport. Would really prefer to have this collected from Peckham SE15 or could meet up somewhere in London. I don’t have the original box (it was massive!). Here’s my feedback thread on here for anyone interested
  13. Have you had many returns? Curious because their predecessors, the Portaflex series and the SVT-7, were plagued by reliability issues, and I'm really hoping the Ventures have moved past that.
  14. This thing is messed up, but I’ll use it anyway! The top driver works, bottom driver has taken a knock sounds like the coil is out of alignment - scratchy noises on excursion. Took the back off - carcass is particle board, and damaged around the top speaker, which also has a torn cone! Despite this, it doesn’t sound too bad with a bass going through it! Plan of action: wire up top speaker only, leave bottom speaker in situ and use as-is for an unusual but decent sounding music room guitar cab. Still no info whatsoever on Google. Anyone even heard of the brand before?
  15. Voices like his don't come along too often. Aural velvet. I never knew he played bass, off to investgate!
  16. We will be rooting for you @Blondy you only have to be fairly close, okay?
  17. I think two BB3s should work just fine, from recall, having had both, two of the BB3s would stack approx the same size/height as the BT so essentially the same cab, but in a more convenient to move set-up.
  18. My take is that the smaller, lighter, modular option is always best. So 2 x BB3's would be my choice. On the loud gigs I use my older BB2 with a Super Midget. I can also use my SC with the SM and can use all of them individually, depending on the gig. IMO modular is the way to go.
  19. No they definitely weren’t really brothers. Scott Walker was such an influential figure in modern music. And by all accounts not too shabby on the bass too. The 30th Century Man documentary is really worth a watch. And of course the Scott 1-4 albums are all just superb. I might start referring to Paul McCartney as “that Beatle” on here from now on though, just for shits and giggles! 🤣
  20. 35" 19 mm
  21. If it's recorded backing you can't rush, plus the rest of the band won't make any mistakes. Have a good one. Eat early if you can.
  22. Is it a 34", 19mm at bridge?
  23. 1Kay bought a compressor pedal from me and paid right away. I think we both underestimated the complexity involved in shipping it to the US but he was very patient while I sorted out the paperwork. Really nice guy with great comms. Deal with in complete confidence.
  24. You've only had one bass for 2 weeks, so I'd say it's too soon to choose between them.
  25. @msb You have some very nice amps and cabs in the photo.
