  5. Always thought the original Sr300 series pickups were the CAPS? I had a SR600 with Bart mk 1s. Either way this is a great deal
  6. I am selling a pair of Shure 315 in-ear headphones in excellent condition. I bought them a while back in Westend DJ in London, but haven't used them all that much. Initially, I bought them to practice bass at home, but never used them to play live. I have used them for a few rehearsals, and they do the job well. They are lightweight, sit nicely, and the cable is sturdy. The sound is mid-focused, making it ideal for vocalists or guitar players. It works for bass as well, just don't expect massive low-end. They will come with all Shure accessories (pouch, extra eartips). I did buy an additional cable with a mic for them, but never tested it. I will also include some extra eartips I have. This is a genuine pair of Shure headphones/IEMs, so buy with confidence. Thanks! Free postage in the UK.
  7. I was a Worthing resident around this time, and Graham made me an exceptional 62 Precision. I also 'liberated' a lovely Les Paul that he had made, that was caught up with the demise of Broadway Music. I don't immediately recognise a bass player called Peter, but I can ask my chums from that era. Graham is a wonderful guy and exceptional luthier. I remember being at his home and him showing me a gorgeous early 60's Strat that he had made two weeks earlier. This was early 80's and well before relicing was a 'thing'. It looked absolutely genuine to me.
  8. Love this. Right up my Straße so to speak.
  9. Can I say it first? If only it were a 5 string.... GLWTS! Stunning!
  10. Hi! I use Dunlop Super Bright 40-120 Light Nickel Bass Strings (DBSBN40120) I’m not really sure how much difference string through makes, but I think I prefer it (it might get just be all in my head).
  11. You have a serial number?!
  12. It's the cat, I feed him extra milk to balance on my head

  17. Mate, the golden rule, never total the costs, you'll let slip to someone somewhere and they'll use it against you
  18. Palmer Wipper Passive Di box. £55 including UK postage.
  19. Today
  20. Bought as a spare and never used. Palmer active DI box. Very transparent sound.
  21. The Ironbird which really grabbed my attention first was Johnny Rod's yellow one, love this bass.
  22. My best (and most expensive bass) is an acoustic upright so that really ought to come out for jazz gigs. It has only been broken once (neck crack from a fall when unloading afterwards). For a local jam in cramped quarters I use an EUB I got cheaply on Ebay. I would do the usual trick of a fancy carved bass for gigs and a cheap laminated one for jams, if I had space for two acoustics.
  23. Boss BCB90 plus effects as shown. All individual effects have their own boxes. All high quality patch leads and power supply integral to case. Case has never left the studio. All in great condition. Price does not include postage and happy to package up. Bargain price if you’re looking to set up an effects system. This covers most needs. May separate, message for individual prices
  24. South West England. Nr Exeter
  25. Bought as a spare and never used. Boxed as new. £95 including UK postage.
  26. I never actually tallied up the costs, as im too scared to know! But as with all customs, you start off with a budget and before you know it you've spec'd it way beyond where you started!! but it was worth while and created a cracker of a bass. Seafoam over sunburst is just so striking.
  27. All parts bodies and neck are not cheap and also come with the need for finishing/drilling, so the asking price for this bass - given the rest of the hardware - probably isn't a whole lot more than the cost of the parts, it might even be a little less. If only it was a Precision etc etc...... And of course, @Owen will be along in a minute or two to say the equivalent 'If only it were a 5-string....' 🤣
