  1. Past hour
  2. Yeah Alan put it in just in case I change my mind. Honestly can’t see that happening yet but better to have it ready to go than butcher it later
  3. I was there, had a great day! Geezer was amazing, he can still play as fast as he ever could. Ozzy was clearly struggling to talk and move, but absolutely nothing wrong with his will to entertain and belt out the lyrics. Some of the choices weren't great (I could have skipped Sammy Hagar) but overall it was a perfect tribute to Sabbath and Ozzy. Shame Villa Park didn't plan to feed 40,000 people past 4pm and they were struggling with beer towards the end of the day too.
  4. Definitely bringing the Brawley 5 and 4 string basses. Rarely seen in the UK, except at Bass Bashes. Will bring the Roland V-bass system fitted on an HB MusicMan-like, if I still have it. This is huge fun and does a pretty good impersonation of many other basses in a live mix. It's going up for sale next week though.
  5. Dropped the price on this again as I’ve had some unexpected repairs come up on the work van so needs must unfortunately!
  6. Frankly, I'd redo the wiring from scratch rather than trying to find the specific problem. The soldering looks pretty untrustworthy in general. You'll probably save time by redoing it completely (it doesn't even take that long), and then you'll know it was wired carefully. I'd reuse the pots, unless you have suitable 'known-good' at hand, they can and do fail, but not as often as what bad soldering does.
  7. Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  8. I did indeed and it is a great bass 😁 Its price tag does not reflect how well made it is and how good it sounds either. Both my semi acoustics aren’t being used for the simple reason all my work requires Precisions and something with 22 frets.
  9. Lots to like for not much money. GLWTS
  10. Bright Side Of The Road - Van Morrison
  11. Selling what is one of the best jazz basses I've played. Upgraded with noiseless Fender pickups and Fender hi-mass bridge. Collection from Bristol preferred, but should be able to find a box for delivery.

  14. Pretty sure everyone knows what these are about. Selling as not being used and could use the £££ Price includes postage in the UK.
  15. Selling these value for money pedals because they are now surplus to requirements. add £3.50 for postage within mainland Sonicake Octaver. a very very good Boss OC2 clone £20 Sonicake Cloud Chorus v1 . Bucket Brigade type chorus. I read somewhere that the V1 sounds better than the V2 but I cannot confirm it as I havent tried the newer version. Together with the Sonic Ambience it worked very well with my fretless. £20 Sonicake Sonic Ambience Reverb/Delay. Nice options and with Tap Tempo option. £25 Can be collected in Aylesbury. Thanks.
  16. I thought I'd post an update here, having read this thread about 30 times in the last year, as well as having messaged @Mertondirectly for a view. I picked up a TE1200 earlier this week. Rehearsed once with it but thought I'd share my initial thoughts as it's my first trace Elliot gear. Build quality feels so solid, and the knobs are tactile. I use the bag at the moment which feels ok, but understand concerns. Sound wise, it sounds big, dynamic and punchy right out of the box and the EQ feels really powerful. I haven't yet worked out the compressor so reserve judgement - I'm in the thinning out the sound space at the moment. I'm after some sustain out of it if possible. Overall first impressions are bang on what I'm after - simple to use, spades of power and a light weight alternative to my gt200. Gonna take a spin with 8 10s this Wednesday hopefully. ✌️
  17. Does £500 reduction mean you’ll accept £3000?
  18. I’d happily say the same about Rod Stewart, David Bowie, The Stones, The Who… All bands have their breakthrough golden moments and the dregs of whatever career they can manage thereafter. Jesus, look at Metallica…haven’t done a decent album since 1991… RHCP depending what you think…maybe “By The Way” Was passable? As a point I love all the acts mentioned above - but skip huge swathes of songs as I listen.
  19. I much preferred guigsy on bass. More melodic and bass like. When Andy Bell took over (no disrespect to him) it just sounded like noel (as a guitarist) had written all the bass lines, but in a guitarist style. No contrast between guitars and bass. They didn't do anything for me after guigsy.
  20. I actually prefer a direct sale, but it always depends. Maybe you can send me your ideas via pm.

  22. My mob is in there next week Dave and as we were only booked a week ago we haven`t had much time to push the gig. Hope folk turn up!
  23. I thought Go Let It Out wasn't very good to be honest and I saw them on that tour at Murrayfield in 2000. They played pretty much the same set that they played at Cardiff the other day. An old one. They lost relevance post 1996 with awful material and terribly produced albums. It's not like I don't like them as a band per se, but they've released much more crap material than great.
