Up for sale is this very nice Yamaha QY700. This one has a bright upgraded screen, all buttons working and flawless operation. It's also upgraded with a GOTEK drive to store as many sequences as you can throw at it. It's pretty much future-proofed for a good while. A rock solid workhorse, this is a great centrepiece for a DAWLess set up. Only selling as I have another sequencer that's smaller This is a great piece of classic tech. Famously used by Squarepusher. It's a lovely sequencer with a tweakable GM library (but I only use it to drive external gear)- very powerful and solid as a rock timing-wise. Perfect for those who want to get away from screens.

Yep, mine were extremely sticky and a pain to use. Now they’re not.

I've been using the Melvin Davies preamp pedal since Summer for our duo sets when I don't use a combo. Creates a great sound overall, although you do need to be careful with the treble and bass controls when using an active bass. I haven't done any of the computer connection stuff as yet. It all sounds very complicated to me! But as a basic preamp at a relatively low price, it's hard to beat.

hey Do you think that the pedals released in 2025 will have the same hardware as the first models? Will the micro USB connector issue still be a problem? thanks

Ah interesting. For some reason I thought Helix allowed parameter assigns? Do you know if that is the case, if not be very easy to check with @BigRedX who is a bit of a Helix expert?

I'm not familiar with that specific A&H but, aside from the compressor that you say it doesn't have, is there anything else in that post that's out of the question? Personally I am not a fan of using, or even starting with, in built presets on digital mixers. I find that they really tend to over egg the pudding and I spend the first bit of any soundcheck just undoing what they all did. I just find myself wondering how awful the source has to be to need that much doing to it? In fairness the only mixers I really have experience of are my Behringer XR18 and several local venues that use the A&H Qu/SQ stuff so I am not an expert on multiple desks and perhaps other presets are better.

Now just £310.00. This amazing emulation of the acoustic control corporation 360 preamplifier with variamp and built in fuzz is up for grabs. Hand made by the renowned JC Maillet and commissioned and imported by myself at great cost. I have used the 360+ for studio recordings, gigs, rehearsals and at home, it has never dissapointed. The preamp sounds fantastic and the fuzz section is the best I have used. I have owned this pedal for a good few years from new, as can be seen it's in pristine condition. Specially sourced UK power supply also included. Will happily run from other sources with the right leads (I used it with a trex chameleon). Fully detailed printed instruction manual also included. Only available as I have more preamplifiers than I can use. Try out/collection always welcome, or UK insured postage for £15.00

I’ve now had a chance to check all the leads going into my pedals and the issue remains. I’m stumped. -

A Chinese made Roasted Jazz neck alone would cost you more than that. To be able to get a hand stained natural Ash jazz for that is just giving them away. It's the old adage of 'stack em high, sell em cheap'. Even if the pickups are hot garbage, you can replace them with some nice Fender Pure Vintage 66s for just over £100, thusly more than doubling the value of the bass, he said. I've just ordered one too - it'll be another affordable bass to sell to a pupil when needed. I just noticed the RRP is usually £245!

If you look at the specs, it's a cheap laminate ply bass. Strings will probably be utterly terrible and watch out for the tail wire explosively failing. Those are the good parts it'll be missing. Guaranteed. Fazley are the same people that sell brand new higher-tier Precision-style basses for about £140 brand new. Forgive my ignorance of these matters, but I am curious about double basses. I have always assumed the 3/4 is the one to get. Even though the 3/4 is more money on this site, they are offering a 10% discount too, and free delivery. So once it's in the basket, and the code applied, the total price is just £428.40. This seems outrageously cheap for a 3/4 double bass. What am I missing, is it made of matchwood? Thanks, Rob

Things such as this are often lauded as absolute bargains etc... yet nobody pulled the trigger and it is relisted. LOL From the lack of bids (zero), it clearly isn't a bargain and needs to be cheaper; how much cheaper will dictate its true 'value' but not a bargain if absolutely nobody is prepared to drive to Bristol to buy it.. -
