  8. Hi mate. Long time no see. A little bit off the point, but have you considered Rode? I have a matched pair of M5s, and to my ears they sound pretty damn good for the price. A bit more than the Tbones, but still well within your budget. Just a thought...
  9. Flashlight -Parliament
  10. When I was in a duo with an acoustic guitarist I used an Aguilar TH500 and a Bergantino AE112. The tone was incredible. I'm still using the TH500 but the Bergs went awhile ago. For small and quiet gigs I now use a Barefaced Super Compact. Again, beautiful tone.
  11. I have a Jackson Charvel complete with pointy headstock that I played in a function band for years, until I decided it didn't really look right. I ended up buying a Mahogany Ibanez. I then played the Ibanez in a thrash metal band for a few gigs, completely oblivious that maybe the Charvel would have looked a lot better.
  12. Sadly not mine - just in my custody while waiting for it's new owner to pick it up, but a delightful example of a 2004 Textured Teal/Checkerplate 2EQ MusicMan SUB.

  13. You were lucky. I practiced for three months on a rolled-up newspaper that I found in a septic tank. I used to have to get up every morning at six o'clock, play the newspaper for 14 hours a day - and when our Dad got home from working in the pit, would thrash us to sleep in 7/4 time, with a curly guitar lead.
  14. I've got one, couldn't be happier with it.
  15. MXR M80 Bass DI+ in fantastic condition with original box and 3 Dunlop rubber button do-dars. It sounds great and has a very useful switchable distortion channel. It can also be phantom powered 👌🏻
  16. How do we contact HW?

  19. I know there are a lot of people who share your point of view. I play a Dingwall and I would imagine I'd not be allowed into a lot of bands because I've got such a space-age looking bass but I think I'd rather not be in those anyway.
  20. Of course it's my problem, this isn't the rational prejudices thread.
  21. Alas being sensible and slimming the heard (for once!) Need to get a few quid together for a car for my son soon, I forget he’s not a kid anymore 😱
  22. Yes that's quite mad! Congrats on the new addition to the family!
  23. Thanks mate. If only you were looking at trades for your Zoot 👀
  24. Sorry for the late reply, I can see the Q has already been answered. These can take batteries if you want one less cable to worry about. It comes with a UK power supply.
  25. The Box speakers are decent but some are heavy. I gave away two 2x15 + tweeter cabs, they were just totally impractical, but I know a rehearsal studio that uses them and they sound great.
  26. Well, I'm in no rush to sell it anyway. If it goes, it goes. Otherwise I'll just keep it. Same story with my Precision. It's been up for sale for a while now. But thanks for the kind words anyway 🙂
  27. There’s a road I take regularly that’s a 60/30/60. Nobody seems to go above or below 40 mph along any of it and then you can’t overtake because there’s a train of them! The irony is they complain 60 is dangerous yet speed through the village!
