  1. Past hour
  2. I just had a run through my practice tracks. Didn't have to stop for a rest and had great fun. It plays fine. I must record the bridge pickup and post it here, well, I'll do a demo of both, no worries.
  3. Does this come with a cover
  4. You didn't also happen to ask if you could fit a dead elf into the boot of an MX-5 did you? Asking for a friend.
  5. I think it's time they revised the listing
  6. Lost - Frank Ocean
  7. No, I didn't get them with the bass, the previous owner modded it and I think he sold the original pickups on here.
  8. If you used a compressor before it you would remove the transients you need for the envelope of some of the patches I would assume.
  9. Nowhere man - Beatles
  10. It’s just drive effects but within that you have a variety of clean type boosts and very low gain drives, bit crusher & synthy type drives/fuzzes and then your more vanilla OD/Fuzz/Distortions, you can’t stick another type of effects like Chorus or octave in there tho, no
  11. Going Nowhere - Therapy?
  12. Today
  13. I'm not so sure, they all seem to be gone now so scarcity may well push 2nd hand values up again. I suspect those of us who've clicked with them would happily pay more if we needed one, we know what they're worth. I know I'd pay handsomely to replace an A1H if I needed to now. I paid in the region of £700 each for my two A1H models and don't regret either for a second. I'd pay that much again without questioning it if I needed one. The A2S I got was more sort of a curio for me because I'd never had a jazz bass (single coil hum allergy), and that £299 offer was just too low to turn down. If it hadn't gone so low at the end I'd probably never have bought it at all, all because of my wariness of hum. I've actually been mulling whether I should try getting the Aguilar 4J HC hum cancelling pickup set for it. I love the sound of the 4J 70 set, but I still wonder if I might love hum-free more? edit - Meant to add that I agree it's a mistake for Vox to go 34" scale. As has been discussed, they're Marmitey and as well as the brand's history, I think short-scale players are naturally more open to quirky designs overall.
  14. You haven't mentioned the worst sin of all - the feral apostrophe in "has picked up some 'authentic' play wear in it's time!".
  15. The DVD and live CD should net him a bit.
  16. Can the tone print function be used to assign a different type of affect to the tube drive knob or is it just drive type effects?
  17. Somewhere very close to me. But I already have a bad back and an allergy to Trace-Elliot.
  18. It was a huge departure from the original Fender Dimension bass from the early 00s. I never understood why they kept that name around when it was originally on a bass as ugly as this:
  19. Thought you were gonna post a pic of you from your early days when I first read that 😂
  20. Great! Anything to trade?
  21. Yeah definitely, I really like those too with the black blocks , wonder why the tuners were changed
  22. That's good to know. Thank you. Might be a bit premature for this project. I've been setting it up today and it's not great. It's just about ok, but it's not great. Good enough for me to get to know it and will help me decide if it's a Spector I want to have, when I go get my best bass.
