  2. There's some great software available for these units also for example https://www.singularsound.com/products/groove-monkee
  3. Channel 4 were the first terrestrial channel to cover Glasto. They did the 1994 and 1995 festivals. They did it much better too.
  4. Well spotted. I basically placed that early into the process, and as this was my first PCB design ever, I struggled with changing part footprints, etc. But it is an internal trim indeed, part of the BLEND circuit. Ultimately I just measured if I can bend my existing trims' legs in a way that it fits this pot-like space - and I think it will be able to do that But that's certainly a future enhancement once I made sure the prototypes actually work, I want to use one of those 5-pole universal trim sockets.
  5. Erase and Rewind - The Cardigans
  6. GHS Precision Flats have purple silks.
  7. I have gigged a £1200 bass £300 bass and a £50 (SH) bass. Non lt me down. Ironically the £50 one is that only one that has had no hardware changes, only new pots and jack socket.

  10. It's quite woody and hollow sounding...Pick and flats, of course. Sounds more like a Burns Bass, Jazz Bass type to my ears (or sim, Hagstom etc). A Bass with more than one pick up. Like 'chris_b' said, Dave Richmond, or even Russ Stableford had similar sounds. From a Chatgpt search: "Sven Wunder himself plays bass—specifically, the double bass—on his albums (including Eastern Flowers, Wabi Sabi, Natura Morta, and Late Again). He’s a trained jazz double-bassist who began playing at a young age, a fact he's mentioned in interviews and profiles open.spotify.com+15psychedelicbabymag.com+15steppinintotomorrow.com+15. Credits for Natura Morta list "electric bass" among the instruments used, which, given his involvement as the arranger, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, points to him handling the bass parts . So on any Sven Wunder album, the bass lines—double or electric—are performed by Sven Wunder himself." "I couldn’t find any reliable information detailing the brand or model of Sven Wunder’s electric bass guitar. Most available sources—including recording credits for Natura Morta—simply list “electric bass” without specifying manufacturer or model prestomusic.com+8svenwunder.bandcamp.com+8banbantonton.com+8. Given his background as a trained jazz double-bassist, it’s likely that electric bass serves more as a functional studio instrument for him rather than a signature piece of gear. He frequently records with vintage and analogue equipment, but no interviews or gear rundowns specify the brand of his bass guitar prestomusic.com. If you're trying to match his tone, you might focus more on his production/mixing approach—vintage analogue gear, tape recording, and a jazz-influenced playing style—rather than the exact bass model. Would you like help identifying gear similar in tone, or tracking down studio session credits where he might be more specific?"
  11. I’m running both my BassRigs off a single output from a Zuma with negligible noise.
  12. Seventeen Again - The Eurythmics
  13. Caline Pressure Tank compressor, excellent condition with original box. Velcro on the bottom. £25 inc. UK postage.
  14. We both have impeccable taste what can I say! My MXR should hopefully arrive early next week 😀
  15. Lucky Seven - Chris Squire
  16. Here’s a question I’d be keen to hear the answer to: how does the MXR deal with tuning when the string energy decays? Does the pitch drop as the note rings out when held for a long time? This is something that makes a huge difference. In the C4, you can hear the pitch drop off noticeably. The Future Impact handles this far better. The earlier version would cut off the note dead as soon as the unit detected pitch drop. The v4 is even better as there’s now a rolling buffer which stores the pitch value, so when the unit detects a small pitch drop in the string it takes the previous correct value from the buffer and holds that pitch for as long as the string continues to ring out. It’s an awesome feature, and allows the full release time of the ADSR to be used with rock-solid pitch throughout.
  17. Great bass, GLWTS

  21. Great keyboard, recently replaced the pitch wheel as it had started to drift. Perfect now though. All in great working condition. Collection from High Wycombe or meet up preferred, but I can look in to postage if needed.

  22. As you both say, the clank is part and parcel of "the sound", especially when you dig in. My HW is a single truss rod, so a bit easier to adjust. Yes, making sure that the strings don't choke is important, having a little neck relief is great, but just making sure it's playable is the big thing.

What's the deal with trim1? It looks like space for a 16mm pot, but that would snare with the Tone and volume pots?
