  2. I'm now qualified as a passive pickup circuit inspector. From what I learned today by trial and error, I am able to identify that the person who wired the Spector made the same mistake I did in the design room. The Pickups are wired to the volume pots, so the tones effect both pickups. I'm going to start by wiring it up with the pots and listen how it works with the tones independent. I based the tone switch idea on their strangely limited performance, now under review.
  3. Yes that is a great pity, BUT I've got lots of amps but this is the one I gravitate to because it can do so many things quite well: It's loud enough I like the compressor and distortion options and the valve emulation. I love the bluetooth so can stream band recordings from my phone and play along. Now I've trained myself not to keep fiddling with the effects its great. Thomann don't seem to be selling them any more so the price is climbing up.
  4. What I need flat strings for? and what's that foam thing?
  5. There is a great Aguilar TH500 and 2 x SL112 cabs in the Classifieds.
  6. Controls are volume, tone and blend. It has a piezo under the bridge and is active, for those that aren't aware.
  7. Brilliantly funny post, Jack.. 😂 For what looks like a really amazing amp! And this has got to be the best description of a bass amp's sound that I've seen on here for a long time: "It's like stepping back 50/60 years, and there are settings that make my bassline sound like it's being filtered through melted chocolate to fill the room, any room." Instantly made me think of how I (very fondly) remember the sound of my old Ampeg V4BH rig... But I have too much gear myself these days and not enough gigs to use it all either... But something like this Matamp amp is still sooooo tempting... So, what can I say other than 'get thee behind me Satan', and to wish you the best of luck with the sale! 👍😊
  8. Love a nice Rickenbacker and this IS nice. GLWTS
  9. Nice. Now you need a good set of flats and a lump of foam.
  10. Paul Simon - Kodachrome

  14. Origin Effects Cali76 Compact Bass compressor - £190 with next day UK postage. Includes original box. Amazing bass compressor, been on my board for 6 years now, time to move it on. I've removed the Velcro from underneath as it had gotten pretty tatty, and the chassis has been given a good clean. Two minor marks/dents - one below the footswitch, one on the Ratio knob - both shown in photos. Message if you have any questions
  15. Whereabouts does it need to be collected from?
  16. I’ve always wanted one of these - fighting to resist as I’m very much in the same situation with having more stock that I can possibly play! Now if I can find another acoustic gig maybe I can justify it?
  17. That is bonkers! 😜
  18. Here's my baby
  19. Good Lord, that's a handsome devil.
  20. there was a period in time where this would have sent me totally over the edge, literally fizzing at the bung hole sadly, I'm no longer required to create sonic chaos in this way, what a great pedal though! glwts dude
  21. Hello guys, Nancy, you're crazy 😄 I came back to the store with my iPad, opened Logic Pro and tried to play again on my song. Now I understood that the role I played and published (in the first page) was an electric guitar role. Bass guitar role needs to be very restrained since it's so powerful. I bought the PB70. I tried also the short scale mustang but it took me to the electric guitar world.
