  1. Past hour
  2. I know how it's pronounced, that doesn't stop the rude, adolescent part of my brain running riot...
  3. If not considered that. I’ve know people make replicas of all sorts of things, but this seems to be crossing a line a bit. We should reserve judgment until we know a bit more but the fact that a few people here have been taken in by it shows how accurate it is and how challenging authenticating vintage instruments is and how easily people could be duped.
  4. Do you know which mods are coming for this unit?
  5. Now £140 inc. UK delivery
  6. I have two Warwick basses with wenge fretboards and would describe them as "articulate" No idea if that's the wenge or other factors. Someone has a Streamer Broadneck on ebay for sale at the minute (I also have one) with the fretboard wood being described as rosewood. I messaged them letting them know it was wenge a few weeks ago but was ignored and the description still says rosewood. I guess I was surprised an actual owner of one would make that error but hey...
  7. A challenge would be building a double bass from scratch ... someone has already done the hard work here 😁
  8. Vintage ones : yes. Reissue ones : no.
  9. I went Tomorrow’s World with bass gear about 15 years ago. Modellers and IEM's? That's all Jules Verne to me. I'm already living in the future of amps and cabs. What's not to love, properly designed 22lb 600 watt cabs and 5lb 500 watt amps. I do have a problem with the OP criticising the bass player for only using 1 bass all night!!! Less is always more.
  10. Pronounced wen-gay apparently. Does that help? 😆
  11. Hey all, Just traded + £££ for a lovely EQ pedal from Sine Effects with Chris. Great comms, quick postage and there are no hesitations to deal with again. Thanks. Peace.
  12. Doesn't seem to be much information about the event currently but there are some "names" being associated with it... I know that there are many antiFBers here...not sure what to say. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16SyAntb1d/
  13. Epiphone Explorer Bass In Full working order. Great bass in good condition. New D’Addario EXL strings and set up. Plays great and sounds even better. It has two slight blemishes on the face of the headstock and back of the neck. I’m not sure what they are as they were on the bass when I got it. They are purely cosmetic and don’t affect playing. I’ve circled them in red on the pictures but they’re hard to see. Headstock/neck joint is absolutely solid with no breaks or cracks. Collect from NE26 or I’m happy to post this at buyers expense and would be packaged up very securely but does not have a hard case so I would insist on insured shipping. Any questions please ask. Thanks

  15. I thought the black and white on the keys were reversed on the Vox?
  16. Kinell mate ... you like a challenge, don't you?
  17. Take a photo, it will be easier to help you... 😉
  18. I guess you mean wenge neck and/or fingerboard as a full wenge instrument would be so heavy... That said, I'm with you concerning tonewood. 😉
  19. I do have a silver briefcase type thing to which I added foam that would nestle the desk and power cable nicely that I could throw in if that helps?
  20. I do think there's a visual loss with the move to modellers over traditional amps. Unless a lot of time and thought has gone into a stage design, to the point that having your amps and cabs on the stage would actually take away from the overall look of things. But, on the other hand, as Red says, it's now also a lot more possible to get to gigs in smaller vehicles, less vehicles, etc. which is a big money saver for a lot of people. Perhaps the middle ground is venues buying cheap empty cabs to fill the back wall of the stage with?
  21. That One 10 defines physics. Moving air isn't just an expression, it's how speakers work. A high quality modern ten with 8mm excursion capacity will move as much air as vintage fifteen with 3mm excursion.
