  2. Indeed, but the idea of Leo Fender was not really moding, but fixing an instrument by changing the problematic part with another faster than fast and not spending time on repair: a typical moto from the post war society and the consumerism.
  3. All I can say is " About Bloody Time!!!!!"
  4. Questionable, since most people doing sound checks can only count to two.
  5. Lekato WS-50 - 5.8GHz, no whistle with active bass Lekato WS-90 - 5.8GHz, no whistle with active bass
  6. I saw some Barts listed (their 8S P-Bass set) for over £200 yesterday. Maybe a blip, or symptomatic of tariff-geddon.
  7. Others might, but not the bands I play in.
  8. I might have to initiate my Boss RC-500 Loop Station for the next contest, and perhaps even utilize the Zoom recorders ability to record 4 mono tracks/2 stereo tracks. It's not a promise, but something I will consider. It might still end up with just a single track improv like the other tracks I've contributed with.
  9. I had the 2x8" combo too - really nice sound and very cool styling, but insanely heavy for a small combo. Made by Carlsbro apparently. OP amp looks a bargain for proper quality kit
  10. 14 TX64 Pads and Mounting arms Pads work perfectly well responding to all pad trigger areas and velocity. I originally had 3 full kits at my rehearsal room but have no need for them and most of the parts/frames etc have been sold. selling as a job lot as I’d rather not split and do individual postage. Collection is good too, NE26 or NE6 or could possibly drive to meet depending on distance. Any questions please ask. Thanks David I
  11. U.K. postage for this week a coming in around £110 on Shiply.com which would make the cab, 550 delivered so I’m happy to half the expense and sell for 500 delivered.
  12. U.K. postage is around 70 on Shiply so would let this go for £400 delivered Thanks
  13. You need to get out more ...
  14. Have a sound check if you really feel you need one, but the bands I play with know what they want to sound like, and know how to get it. I've never seen anyone take longer than 20 seconds to line check and sort their sound.
  15. This one But if you use a frosties box, it'll make your bass sound GR-R-REAT!
  16. Thanks Mike, it was great to meet you and hope the Sandberg is serving you well. I had a little play on the Warwick after you left and began to consider withdrawing it from sale. I might get a replacement MEC pre and return to stock too. Decisions decisions 😂
  17. Yes, just screw the knurled knob out until it comes off and then thread the thrust bearing on, then screw it back in.
  18. Theres quite a lot about them (Asamovel) on Insta, Bill. They are obsessed by their wall of Marshalls and what drivers are in each of them. I completely take your point about the Magnatones. Not many making a noise but they certainly look pretty. I'd love a Magnatone. What.a. machine.
  19. Simplest thing would be to abandon the Mustang and get a cheap multifx from Zoom or similar with an aux input and maybe headphones output.
  20. Thrust bearings received today. Is it obvious when you unscrew everything how to fit them?
  21. It’s gone from the window. Hopefully it’s gone to a good home.
  22. Not this bass player, he didn't hang around for long!
  23. Headstock seems a slightly unusual shape? Looks a bit thin to my eyes.
  24. Real B15s are thin on the ground over here and increasingly expensive by the looks. Does anyone know if there's anybody in the UK who does, or would, make an Ampeg B15 clone? (Just the head, not necessarily the cab as well) As far as options, I know about the following which come as kits and pre-built: The Trinity Trip Top, which looks nice but not sure how often they make them and shipping from Canada is probably fairly significant. There's also the Ceriatone Aunt Peg, which is close, but based on this post, isn't quite a true clone because of the transformer used. Correct me if I'm wrong about this! On the subject of kits, does anyone know someone who would build one for you? I don't have the training to mess with high voltages and I'm not daft enough to try For the purposes of this, pretend I absolutely do not want a pedal or a preamp etc., just a valve head that sounds like a B15. Doesn't need to be exact, e.g. look like an Ampeg, or have two channels, etc. Thanks in advance all!
  25. Swapping necks around was a design feature from the start. Initially Fender didn't put truss rods in their guitars. If the neck bowed the idea was to replace it with a new one. I guess plan B (truss rods) came along pretty quickly. One school lunchtime in the mid 60's I was standing in Marshall's shop in Hanwell watching Vic Briggs of the Animals telling the guys, Chris & John, that he wanted the neck of one Strat on the body of another Strat and the electrics of a third Strat.
