Owned from new for around 12yrs, I bought this from Thomann and had it set up for Rockabilly. It definitely feels a step up from the entry level basses and I have used it live a lot. Most of its life has been more of feature in my living room though. The last couple of years I have been coming to terms with the fact that I need to sell it. Space is at a premium, it rarely gets used and I am of an age where the EUB seems the easier option. The specs are here Thomann link if anyone is interested. I added a pickup which has been useful - a David Gage Realist. People often call it a copper head. They’re industry standard and normally about £120 used. Mine is included with the bass at no extra cost to you. There is a tatty (by my high standards) gig bag and the strings are currently Gut-A-Like vintage ones Gut A Like strings You’ll see I added a few stickers. These should be fairly easy to remove. I’m happy to do it, or I can leave it. Equally I am happy to add more pictures. It’s currently lent against the wall in my place in Hungerford, where I am Sunday to Thursday evenings. Postage looks too hard to do so it would be a collection. I have gotten it in a Peugeot 107 before - not comfortably, so perhaps don’t bring the family if collecting!

I’m a big fan of Boss pedals and have just re-done my board. I went a bit mad recently and have a fair few that are surplus to my requirements. All are boxed (initially the OC3 was listed as unboxed but I have since found the box) and only the super overdrive has Velcro on the bottom. I would grade these as at least 9/10 in terms of condition. Prices include UK postage. Boss Octave OC3 - £85 Boss Tuner TU3 - £70 Boss Super Chorus CH1 - £75 Boss Super Overdrive - £60 Boss Bass Overdrive - £80 I looked around online and believe these are priced to sell. Check my feedback thread and buy with confidence. PayPal or balance transfer preferred.

These are great and I am only selling as I just upgraded to the BCB-90x. It’s set up with the daisy chain all in place. You just need to add your pedals and patch cables. Cut for six Boss sized pedals. Price includes UK postage. Check my feedback and buy with confidence. PayPal or bank transfer preferred.

After all the worry, it was great! Really cool venue, The Acoustic Lounge in Poynton. All the good things you want from a venue - easy to find, car park right next to load in doors, loads of plug sockets, great staff, first drink free and they have bands on every weekend so people know to come for live music. By no means full but with a decent crowd for a Sunday night and even some dancers. A very civilised 7pm start and 9.30pm finish meant I was in bed for just after 11 - bonus on a school night. Easily the best we've played - this was only our 4th full gig as a band and 2nd as a 5 piece with sax. Lots of positive feedback from punters and venue, including a guy from another band who recorded pretty much the whole gig and sent us the 4k files. Brilliant stuff! Don't know if Jon from Loop & Swing is on here, but thanks a million if you are! Here are some of his clips: Somebody Else'sGuy/I Wish Husband And I'm even going to risk submitting a bit of me attempting some slap on Forget Me Nots Rig was Fender Jazz 5 Kazuki Arai --> (new) Xvive P58 wireless --> HX Stomp --> PA. A review of this amp can be seen here, and Vox's product page is worth a look. As the reviewer mentions, this amp is both small and light (< 5kg) and also loud; I've used it for several jams and also a gig (all with a drummer and various saxes etc.) and it has been fine. I never much liked the tone (a bit too rock) or used the effects, so I've replaced it with the recently-discontinued jazz version whilst I still can. I've not included postage in the price as I don't know how much it will be, but in the event of anyone being interested we can discuss options. The box is still present and I'll put in the unused new power supply from the replacement amp (it's identical). There are a couple of small marks on the bottom of the grill surround (pictured) but otherwise it's in good condition and all working.

My use case is three songs of the set, and even then only if I have a catastrophic failure. I'd say that was more than acceptable. Thank you so much for taking the time. Oh yeah when you're at home and you can still hear the strings they all sound terrible.

You can use a good amount of IPA or similar solvent to clean the track, but you need to "oil" the track after that. Deoxit might do the trick. If you let the solvent get to the axle, you may lose the friction and let that grease reach the track.

Given the nature of the Bird... I'd prefer collection/Delivery but well packaged and very insured postage is possible. This one has been my gateway drug, and before i knew it i've bought myself an old single pickup model. It's in mint condition, and comes with a great padded gigbag. Pretty light at 3.8 kg, and personally I haven't had an issue with neck dive as these sometimes suffer from. These are proper neck-through models like the originals. As always please hit me up with questions/photo requests! .

Barber Linden EQ Pedal. Baxandall style EQ pedal, similar in style to a B15/Fender amp EQ but with some interesting options on the toggle switches. Remarkably similar to the Noble DI in the way that these interact and a lovely parter to the JF Luce DI as I've found out this week. Price includes UK Postage.

So a follow up on my A&H desk saga... Went to the gig Sat night going through the house PA for the first time with the A&H desk potentially on the blink and feeling somewhat on edge as you can imagine. Took my old Soundcraft desk and a RCF912A as a back up desk and floor monitor set up a the Soundcraft only has 2 aux outs for IEMs that can give a bespoke mix vs as many as we need on the A&H.. Desk was fine for the first set. I took the precaution of switching it off for the 2nd set as the issue had cropped up at the end of the second set last time. 2nd set was...fine! (Phew - and actually was an excellent gig - manager wants us back more frequently and the in-house PA worked a treat being played throughout the pub, so all good on that score). A bit of a massive relief, having experienced a desk cut out a couple of years back due to a local power surge at the venue with no back up desk. It's definitely a killer! But got me thinking whether this might be an over-heating related issue? Seems to have cropped up at home when I've had the desk on for several hours. Those of us with CQ desks will know that the heat extraction isn't phenomenal and the desk does get pretty warm pretty quickly. Thoughts?
