  5. Raffle item: I have the TC Electronic Octaver I won two years ago that I’ve never really used that I’ll put back in. Gearwise: I reckon Basses: Wal, FrankenJazz (I should probably replace the battery), Tokai Hard Puncher, and then one of Status S2, Zon Legacy Elite, or G&L L2500 fretless. Amp/cabs: Microtubes 500, Streamliner and BB2 will be in the car from the previous night. Effects: Darkglass Anagram and I could put in the bigger pedalboard with the SkarBassOne and Source Audio C4 synth (amongst others) if not covered elsewhere. if anyone is interested I’m currently selling a Helix Floor in a flight case and a Helix Effects also flight cased, but will only bring if someone expressed an interest in either, otherwise I’ll continue the rather halfhearted selling attempt 🙂
  6. Nice little Behringer in-Line Mixer with power supply. Bought for a project but only used a couple of times. Price includes UK Postage.
  7. Boxed. Hardly used so pretty much as new except for Velcro on the base. In original packaging. UK only and Price includes Postage

  9. Fender should actually make something like that. A more vintage-modern version of a Hotrod Jazz. I like it a lot.
  10. 😄🤣😅
  11. I think pretty well everybody gets back problems at some time during their lives. Don’t let it stop you gigging. I’ve just turned 70 and I really wish I could do more gigs. I’ve signed myself up for New Year’s Eve depping for the 3rd year in a row. I guess it is perspective and you definitely get more time to recover when you have retired.
  12. Depends in what sense you speak. I would wager for the vast majority of players, the MXR is far more suited to them and therefore "better", the FI by comparison is far more difficult to program and needs a better knowledge of synthesis, whereas the MXR is still comfortably in the realm of tweaking knobs on the fly until you hear something you like. I'd like to try one, but I'm conscious that most demos i've heard of it are nowhere near as good as the initial video sounded, and much as I love the interface, I don't like the C4 esque lack of easy foot accessible presets, combined with lack of midi.
  13. Of course not, but it amused me. I realise I've probably blotted my copybook with some on here, but I guess I'll just have to soldier on...
  14. Mickleburgh sometimes has some decent stuff in, but in recent years the bass selection has been lacking. Rikaxxe has had the same stuff sitting in it for years. They're friendly enough though. If you're a real masochist you can try going into Heron Music or Electric Ladyland. The former has some decent stuff in it, but it can be a bit weird. There's stuff that's been hanging in there for months which he claims is sold and won't let you play, but it never seems to leave the shop. I get the impression he has regular clients who he'd very much rather deal with than walk-ins. The latter is a real experience. He probably won't let you buy anything, the levels of secondhand smoke are ridiculous, and a lot of his stock has come out of a skip, but you get some entertaining stories out of him. Both Heron and Electric Ladyland allude to rooms with the 'good stuff' upstairs, but neither have ever let me see any of it. I did once see a couple of nice basses downstairs in Electric Ladyland - a cherry red fretless '80s Jaydee in good condition (although the amount of cigarette smoke in that shop can't be good for any guitar in there long term), and a 1968 Telecaster bass - he did tell me not to buy that one as apparently it was haunted.
  15. If you like it and then find it may not be as it seems, that'll take the gilt off the gingerbread for you. In your shoes, I'd avoid diving down the rabbit hole. If the serial checks out, just have fun with it. Nowt wrong with MIM Fenders, anyway, especially for the money. I have a MIM P Bass Special (P/J) that does the job as well as any instrument I own.
  16. Thank you, i think there is many people who like the red colour
  17. I'm just breaking a set of DR Dragon Skins, I made a terrible mistake and got stainless steel instead of nickel.... oops. When I move up and down the freatboard there's a noise like someone making baloon animals. Odd. Very odd things. Gonna take a bit of getting used to...
  18. Two excellent YT clip reviews
  19. Today
  20. I have one of these in this colour and I can vouch for how insanely nice these things are! They actually feel like a well-played vintage instrument. Fender knocked it out of the park with these basses.
  21. Mind you, if it turns out to be illegit then it'll be a right bastard ...
  22. Looks legit. I remember these. Fender we’re getting slated at the cost of the USA standard so they brought out a cheaper us model with a gloss finish. No hard case, some cost saving measures but a made in USA tag! If it was an affinity body it wouldn’t have the truss rod access at the body end. Enjoy your bass.
  23. isn't it everyone's favourite compressor? best compressor on this earth, second best pedal second only to SANSAMP
