  2. I'll be getting one at some point to replace my old Gear 4 Music 15w monster amp. I'd like something smaller for low volume practice when I'm sat on the sofa. Thomann has a 12- 15 week wait until restock.
  3. Legendary bit of chunk!
  4. Which of the three are you selling please? Do you have photos of that particular cab? Is the cover a Bergantino one? Cheers.
  5. I've uploaded some more pics
  6. Weird thing (to me) is that we have the same in the classical music world: some young people with enormous online presence and Wikipedia articles about them, and who travel the planet to give concerts ... and ... they can't play for the life of them. Sophomoric at best, and in fact I've had 1st year students play better than these. I think their visual appearances have something to say in this.
  7. Hot one tonight minus one guitarist who had to go to see to a plumbing emergency at the London flat. Ran through a couple of new songs that are fine but not a lot for me to do other than AC/DC root note pedalling. Works for the song but … Annoyingly something more interesting I had suggested that I saw mentioned in the “how was your gig” thread and thought ooo we could do a good version of that - the Lillian Axe version of No Matter What - drew a load of blank stares and “never heard it”, so I guess that’s a No then 🤬 Got home and said to wifey “do you know this song” and she said “yes I love it and I’ve been telling you to do it for months” (not to my knowledge she hasn’t but that probably just proves I never listen) 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️
  8. "Wasn't it great the way that Bob Geldof got a saxophone sound out of a candelabra?"
  9. Hurting - Jamiroquai
  10. I often angled my cab slightly inwards instead of straight to the audience ie it would aim at the gap between singer and main PA cabs / bass bin leaving space for myself to not stand in front of it all night ( I never went through the PA )
  11. A canoe somewhere is missing a paddle.
  12. Given the subject of the post, I have to admit I wasn’t specific referring to this person - these videos are so obviously mimed and, not knowing anything else about her, I’d love to think she was just taking the piss out of “influencers” and the entire audience commenting are in on the joke. Maybe the lesson links take you off to the ultimate shred rickrole or something! but I fear that maybe a parallel universe where honest politicians and common sense and critical thinking skills thrive. I’m not long for social media, it’s turning in to more effort than it is worth.

  14. This. Add the fact that he has no feedback and no previous items sold and you can buy with confidence, lads...
  15. 😂 Well, true, he hasn’t pretended that he doesn’t know he’s using his body as clickbait.
  16. Hi if the tone pot is dimed , the P Bass hisses when no fingers on the strings ( I never use the tone pot but if I did etc) I understand this concept with a Jazz Bass , but not a Precision what do I need repaired ? thanks
  17. Stand it upside down. Oh, hang on...
  18. The bottom end of Broadway (down near the Cumberland River) is one of my favorite places on the planet.
  19. I've only done a couple of weddings with what were normally pub bands, and they were for friends of band members and were OK. However, I did a few with the ceilidh band and they were very hit and miss, sometimes waiting for ages to set up because we were going to be playing in the room that the speeches were being done in, sometimes having to cope with extremely drunk dancers.
  20. It was behind the PA tower, band members, monitors and had a wall 12ft in front. This is all really useful. I'm making notes and putting them in my gig notebook. Thanks chaps.
  21. Amazing pedal, selling as I have two. velcro on the bottom. Price includes UK shipping. Thanks

  22. It's debatable whether she does. I have to say, I find her vid's hilarious. They're so obviously mimed tripe that anyone who is fooled only has themselves to blame. I particularly like the one in which her mum twiddles the knobs on a $59 mixer (with, of course, no effect on the sound) whilst our heroine gives it large.
  23. Great insight. Thank you, Phil. I was asked to swap sides with guitarist on the night. I'm always stage left, high-hat side but was swapped on the night. My cab was placed for me, although saying that, there wasn't much choice with position.
  24. I’ll take a look when I get home at the weekend, just landed in Nashville so heading out for some local culture yeehaw 🤠
