  2. You're welcome, Dunc! GLWTS!
  3. I had the stereo and sold it. Regretted it and bought the mono. It really is the Swiss Army knife of amp world. I’ve got a Markbass Evo 1 to try out at the moment which basically, has the Multiamp amps and effects but has two independent channels, which is exactly what I need. I think it’s what I’ve been looking for, for a long time 😁
  4. Yea it’s still for sale. Sent you a personal message.
  5. £50 price reduction Trades - X Touch Universal. Try me with anything, I can only say no 😁 Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  6. Do you know how much it weighs, and does it suffer from neck-dive?
  7. No probs, they are a big of a marmite brand tbf. GLWTS
  8. I'm not a huge fan of the Sandberg tone from my VM4 but i always get a tone i like at almost every gig. When i hear vids posted later it sounds pretty good too. Doesn't matter what amp or rig i use i can quickly get a decent tone from it. Its the one bass i can always rely on. I've taken other basses as a back up or used the first set but something's always missing and i revert back to the VM4. I've tried Fender P, J, Overwaters, Godin but i'm never truly satisfied with them. I also find the VM4 the most comfortable bass to play on longer gigs whether its the weight or just the feel of the neck its amazing. I did like the MarloweDK tone with the punk band tho and once again that was my fall back bass and now my back up for the VM4 with the Glam band. Its just so easy to dial in a good tone from a Sandberg VM4 without tweaking the amp. Dave
  9. Wonder if maybe they’ll add the ultra high and low switches from the later models and have the 64/66 control where the mid control is on the other models. Could be a continuous blend or a 2-position knob and still keep the appearance of the rest of the line.
  10. Well, I got it changed successfully! Unfortunately, the one I bought was flat and my board, it turns out, is slightly radiused. A lot of filing later and it fits like a glove and I’ve got my sustain back
  11. I’m up against mr travis and his all-consuming GEAR maw no chance, I see that bass being dragged to a Manchester address, probably leaving scratch marks on the pavement as it is sucked in like some poor dachshund caught in a wizard of Oz style tornado Briefly. 😛 I Wish I could buy this. GLWTS
  12. As we spek about facebook, if you all didn't yet read this book, i highly suggest it: Not only about facebook but all social media working the same to stick you behind your screen the most possible. This book should be explained in schools...
  13. Yeah you can imagine a ‘64/‘66 switch or something like that.
  14. After doing the tests with electric shocks down the arms, my doctor recommended cortisone injections as a first step, before going the 'whole hog' with operations. I also changed my mouse for a trackball (I was IT Manager...). All of this a couple of decades ago now; I still use a trackball, and have had no further carpal tunnel issues. If caught in time, and for less severe injury, injections can do the job. Hope this helps.
  15. Hello bass lovers! I have to be honest.. it's not made in Japan but I'm quite impressed by this ARIA Guitars Pro II IGB-STD 5. The price is ridiculous (400-450 USD, new). Lightweight, nice look, super comfortable neck, P/J pickup (proprietary) configuration, passive. Punchy tone, defined, I like it a lot! And I bet that with DR STRINGS Lo-Rider will be even better! Demo video coming soon! More info at https://ariaguitarsglobal.com/product/igb-std5/ Worth trying it!
  16. If I remember correctly - there's a Seymour Duncan preamp inside rather than stock one :).
  17. It takes all kinds... unfortunately.
  18. @Beedster, you're right, I shouldn't be so bothered. Amazon have provided their normal excellent customer service and replacements have already been shipped. I guess I was just amazed at someone's bare-faced audacity.
  19. I had the op and it was a game-changer
  20. Now reduced to a Basschat exclusive price of £150!
  21. Today
  22. I returned mine in the end. Just couldn’t get it to sound the way I wanted it to. Even with minimal gain, minimal EQ, etc, the sound was a little too “hairy” for my taste. It was hard to get something that sounded reasonably clean, at volume - I wanted loud, with just a hint of hairiness, and I struggled to get it. But, of course, that’s an entirely subjective perspective - you may be looking for precisely that sort of sound.
  23. Shit happens, send them back, get a replacement set, sorted 👍
