  2. Any plans to do any IQ transcriptions Rob? They’re still going strong, having just released another album “Dominion”, their 14th (not including oddities and live archive collection releases).
  3. Offers and part-ex considered!
  4. Caline Pressure Tank compressor, excellent condition with original box. Velcro on the bottom. £25 inc. UK postage.
  5. Excellent condition stereo reverb pedal with Hall/Spring/Room settings. Velcro on the bottom, no box. £25 inc. UK shipping
  6. Great bass in good condition, comes with hard case. Short scale. Not a heavy bass. Plays well. Not really any damage to speak of. There’s a little bit at the top of the headstock (photographed) but looks much worse than it actually is. I’ve removed the strap lock pins and replaced them with the originals that were odd when I got it. The case is old but fully function and all the clasps work. Since acquiring four Precisions and eying up another plus also needing a Jazz, it’s become surplus. I have an addiction at the moment. I admit it. There I’ve said it. I also need an original Barefaced Compact 15 and an original Midget 😂😂😂😂 Can post at buyers expense or can be collected from BB22SH Any questions please ask.

  7. I did indeed and it is a great bass 😁 Its price tag does not reflect how well made it is and how good it sounds either. Both my semi acoustics aren’t being used for the simple reason all my work requires Precisions and something with 22 frets.
  8. That’s a remarkable advert for many reasons.
  9. A nostalgia trip today, this is the Graeme Murray bass part to 'Arrive Alive (Eyes In The Night)' from the 1984 Pallas album, 'The Sentinel'. Just a thumping bass part with enough odd time signatures to justify the 'neo-Prog' title (these guys were running in the same circles as Marillion, IQ, Pendragon, Solstice and Twelfth Night et al). Happy days. https://bilbosbassbites.co.uk/arrive-alive-eyes-in-the-night-pallas/
  10. Enjoyed this! Nice sound and mix for sure. That bass sounds meaty!
  11. Hello everyone, Having recently upgraded both my touring and backup boards with Cioks power supplies, this is now surplus to requirements. It has recently been serviced and re-capped, and everything works well. It comes with a useful amount of standard 2.1mm pedal leads in short & long lengths, including the useful Voodoo Labs 18V adaptor lead, and a pair of mounting brackets. Also included, but not photographed, is a brand-new Thomann UK kettle/IEC lead. Everything is in used, but good overall condition, and ready to go to work! I'm looking for £110.00 for the lot, which includes mainland UK postage. No offers or trades please. Please message me if interested, and thanks for looking! Etienne
  12. I'm sure the BC massive can help fulfil this requirement I've just seen on the socials "FEMALE DOUBLE BASSISTS: looking for 7 female double Bassist. Paid gig. 7th August 2025 as part of London Open Call at Whitechapel Gallery. Rehearsal 5th Aug Performance 7th Aug This is a minimalist and durational performance art piece where the double Bassists are required to play 1 note continuously for 40/50min. Please get in touch xxx https://www.whitechapelgallery.org/exhibitions/london-open-live-mahsa-salali-the-call/" I'd 100% be up for that if I fit the spec better Also, not sure if it's pizz or arco (nb link contains slight nudity)
  13. Bumping this to note that although collection preferred, I can ship. If so, will send DHL insured with an extra cost of £35. Will need to purchase a proper bass guitar shipping box and packing so will mean shipping is somewhat delayed.
  14. I would say that I would also not usually be a fan... all my other instruments are some version of natural finishes/sunbursts. But for some reason the piano black on the smaller than usual jazz bass body, with the dark rosewood board, mint pick guard... looks excellent! It's also lightweight and plays great! What more could you ask for...
  15. The fret dots in the "wrong" place would not work for me, as @Stub Mandrel said, and would probably stop me from buying any kind of de-fret.
  16. Anyone feeling lucky?
  17. Dominic has messaged me back to let me know that everything is bypassed when the pedal is bypassed.
  18. My thoughts exactly. 😎👍
  19. Thanks! I've just splashed out on a new USB B to Micro lead - think I might be able to cobble the rest together - see if it will work with Android tablet or phone. If not, as you say, the Fender Link IO is cheap enough.
  20. That’s what Roger’s Preamps were always meant to do - make a Jazz-style Bass much more present and punch through. They have very well chosen frequencies, whereas the Fender Preamps are more polite and sit back more. I always liked my Dimension Elite, but the preamp never really did it for me. The increased top end was welcome, if polite sounding, but the frequencies weren’t as well chosen as a Sadowsky.

  24. I recall reading Michael J Fox's autobiography, in which he shared his own battle with Parkinson's (and his open-head, conscious, brain surgery to relieve him of the symptoms). He was unable to act, but could do voiceover work - Stuart Little was him. So, perhaps the voice will be unaffected by the illness?
  25. I'm not sure as I've never used it but I've send Dominic a message to find out. I'll let you know what he says
