Bought a lovely Mayones Jabba hf 5 string off Harry A seasoned bass chatter and true gent sale went smoothly no issues. I would totally recommend using him again ( and probably will )😂 top guy👍

My old SuperP5 was under 4kg and the smaller/thinner body was a deliberate move to reduce weight by Dingwall The DBird is a nice bass but try before you buy. I had one briefly buy didnt get on with the body shape even though it was well balanced, a reasonable weight etc. I still feel the SP1 would be a really great bass.

Up for sale is a pedal that's been a staple sound on my board for a long time. The Emma Okto Nojs is a very dirty/synthy pedal, and a whole plethora of synth tones can be had with this! Just add filter and Analog synth heaven. It's two pedals in one Octave - this is a very deep and plummy octave, it has a filter, so can go very deep to buzzy like a sawtooth wave, it does the OC2 thing well. It tacks very well, but not with very high output active basses. Fuzz- this Fuzz is in two parts, the first is a very dynamic synth Fuzz, with a subtle octave up sound as you play higher up. This sounds very similar to the 3 leaf you're Doom currently going for tons of money online, great for Moog like tones. It also has a fuzzy square wave tone an octave down, with a volume and colour (tone) so it can be used alone or in conjunction with the normal Fuzz sound. When Fuzz and octave are switched on together, they run in parallel for a cleaner more dynamic synth tones. It's in fantastic condition, with a pretty blue Octopuss orgy on the front, and with the original box. £100 incl UK only delivery

Up for sale is one of the greatest synth filters ive had the pleasure to use. Its got a plethora of features including the usual up/down filter and a very cool step filter. The step filter provides random tones, very electronic sounding and can be adjusted to emulate a tremelo or phaser. Such a great sounding filter for lovers of synth. Its in as new condition and comes with the original box, i havent had the chance to fit it to my pedalboard, so no velcro. Id keep this, but need cash currently. If you can find these (difficult), they are quite expensive. £110 posted to the uk

If I can find some verniers I shall measure mine when I get home. I have 2 Warmoth jazz necks ( both slim taper profile ) which are very similar I also have a Status jazz neck which feels slightly thicker than my EBMM Sterling

Ditto, same here. @Berserker amazing work!!! Gotta love those Tbird pups on a J. I've always wanted to do a similar build but with a Mustang body.

Selling my Ken Smith BT 5. Original Smith Electronics, Pickups and Hardware Original Teardrop Hardcase 18 mm String Spacing. „Real“ neck-through of the early 90s The bass is in good condition, some Dings and Dongs. Frets are good, action is low, truss-rod works without any issues. Considering trades with Adamovic or Mattisson 33 Scale basses or partial trades with a Noble DI (I sold mine and I regret it)

Obrienp started following Flats are off
-
I don’t blame anyone for changing away from LaBella flats. They sound the business on a P bass: pure Motown but they feel horrible to me. Sticky is the best way of describing them. I have heard others say that they can be cleaned up with lighter fluid, rubbing alcohol, meths,, etc. I have tried all of these and it doesn’t work for me, they still feel sticky. The best flats for me are D’Addarios but each to their own and they are quite bright. As to the original question: rounds sound great on a P bass and I would have thought would fit in very well to your band situation. Personally, I don’t get any issues with the strings squeaking but then other people don’t find LaBella flats sticky.

ZakSnaporazzz started following MUSICSTORE PROFESSIONAL AFTERSALES DISHONEST SCAMMERS !

So here's the story : I purchased a AVALON U5 preamplifer/DI at Musicstore about a decade ago for ca. 500 €, and in February 2025 it broke down. I sent them an e-mail so they replied to please send in the unit for repair. They took several weeks to reply with a cost estimate of an outrageous 426 €, because "they had no technical information from the OEM and so they had to replace a significant amount of components to make sure the repair job is durable" !! Of course I refused and asked them to send me the unit back, but then they claimed 85€ for the cost of estimation & shipment back unrepaired. I had no other choice than to pay to get my unit back, which took another several weeks for them to do !! Upon receiving the unit, I brought it to a professional workshop nearby and they quickly found the problem's root cause : 1 burned resistor and 2 faulty capacitors. Parts cost : less than 3€ !! Labour : less than 1 hour. This professional workshop recommended me to replace all 24 capacitors in order to make the repair job durable. Parts cost : ca. 45 € Labour : less than 2 hours. So, in the end it cost me LESS THAN 1/4th of Musicstore's claimed repair cost ! When I wrote to Musicstore to claim refund of at least the 85€ for their totally exaggerated cost estimate, at first they ignored my e-mails. Upon my insisting, they arrogantly replied that they did what was necessary and won't accept any blackmail. This is absolutely outrageous : Musicstore keeping some equipment in hostage for totally unjustified repair costs & cost estimate fees. BEWARE OF THOSE DISHONEST MUSICSTORE PROFESSIONAL AFTERSALES SCAMMERS !

I recently got this Hens teeth pedal, but need a clearout. Its an original Canadian jnr pedal, the majestic BCP1 in a smaller format with top mounted jacks. I know these have been reintroduced with new features, i had read they dont sound the same, but i couldnt comment. It instantly fattens the sound while adding a lovely sheen. It is in as new condition, however doesnt come with the box. £210 including next day delivery to the uk.

I’ve done teaching, function gigs, and a bit of live sound. It’s a juggle, but keeping your skills broad really helps cover the gaps between jobs. Connections matter a lot too.

I do agree Tom, but without the original packaging, I'd be concerned about sending this out into courier world. I also much prefer potential buyers to confirm they are happy with the item in person before they purchase. However, if a buyer would be prepared to arrange collection by their preferred courier I could source appropriate packaging.

@maidens97 Martin just replied to an email I sent the other day. Although he closed shop in 2023, he still does a small amount of non urgent repair on selected amps/pedals. Definitely drop him a line, he is a really nice guy to deal with.
