Did you ever make an airfix kit as a kid?? You can do an open seam mate! You just need to get your hands on this stuff. Oh, and a cooking thermometer is a good idea but not essential.

Thanks for all your input guys! What's the benefit of 5.8Ghz over 2.4Ghz? Is there just less likely to be interference? Stronger signal/less loss?

What are your irrational prejudices? I have some bonkers ones...

Well I scored this PJB stack https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/227075033581 for what I reckon is a great price. I collected it yesterday before rehearsal with full five-piece band last night. I am SO impressed! It needed both units in action to give full presence that I could feel as well as hear. I could still hear just the combo on its own, but that thump and flood-of-bass from adding the active monitor was just what I was looking for. It can give me a slightly more modern tone if I want it and most importantly still has all the warmth of my old Fender Bassman135 rig. The PJB transparently gave me the exact sound of my old Stingray, which was what I wanted. Almost as importantly, my chiropractor bills will now be greatly reduced! Thank you all for excellent advice and experience shared.

Good day, any idea where I can buy any please? The ones on mine are like they're made out of cement so I'd like some more rubbery ones if possible. Many thanks in advance. -
Thanks for the update, I checked the band's bio on Faceache so assumed the guy I saw was Luca. Yes, Gus is a fabulous player

Now £350.00. This amazing emulation of the acoustic control corporation 360 preamplifier with variamp and built in fuzz is up for grabs. Hand made by the renowned JC Maillet and commissioned and imported by myself at great cost. I have used the 360+ for studio recordings, gigs, rehearsals and at home, it has never dissapointed. The preamp sounds fantastic and the fuzz section is the best I have used. I have owned this pedal for a good few years from new, as can be seen it's in pristine condition. Specially sourced UK power supply also included. Will happily run from other sources with the right leads (I used it with a trex chameleon). Fully detailed printed instruction manual also included. Only available as I have more preamplifiers than I can use. Try out/collection always welcome, or UK insured postage for £15.00

Selling a classic 1991 Warwick Streamer Stage II. Bought this about six months ago from the original owner. It’s in fantastic condition. Looks as good a new really. Some light tarnishing to the gold hardware but that’s about it. It had been sat in storage for quite some time before I bought it so it needed a bit of attention. I had the battery connector replaced and it’s had a full setup and light fretstone since I got hold of it and it’s feeling lovely to play. It’s a lovely instrument and I’ve really enjoyed playing it over the last few months but it doesn’t really fit in with the kind of work I do so it’s not going to get played enough to justify keeping it. Plus I’ve just bought another bass and frankly I need to replenish the gear funds! The bass doesn’t have a case unfortunately so it’s collection only from Peckham SE15. You’re welcome to come and try it out and have a cup of tea, no pressure! My feedback thread on here:

It was discussed in this thread back in August. The general consensus then was that the bridge is by John Birch, and the rest could be anything. If it was a genuine JB it would have had John Birch pickups on it when it was originally made, and I can't think of any sensible reason to replace them.

I came across a drum (kick, snare, tom) specific gate/noise reducer a while ago and it seemed too good to be true, but I wanted to try it out and when I noticed they had a Black Friday discount on, I pounced. I wasn't expecting to get tax added afterwards, but nevermind. It's Silencer by Black Salt Audio. Currently down to $39 (plus tax of $7.80) from $99 and I think it's an excellent bit of software. It really helps you get some extra definition if you're struggling to get clear hits from a drum recording. It feels a bit like magic when you're using it. https://blacksaltaudio.com/silencer/
