  2. Hi all, Here we have my Yamaha DBR10 powered PA speaker/monitor. Bought new in July/ August 2024 and used on less than 10 gigs. Still have the manuals somewhere too! Selling as I'm going back to using cabs, as light as convenient as this has been! I'm Here's the blurb from Yamaha; The DBR10 Active PA speaker features the same Yamaha state-of-the-art DSP technology inherited from its predecessors, ensuring superior performance and versatility, and safe, consistent operation. The DBR10 can project deep bass, clear midrange and accurate high frequencies to the outer-most edges of a very wide coverage area and can boast 700W of power. The design incorporates an optimised 50° wedge angle for floor monitoring use and is also, for its size, the most portable powered speaker currently offered by Yamaha. Max Power700W Maximum SPL129dB Frequency range55Hz ~ 20kHz LF10" cone HF1" diaphragm CoverageH90 x V60 Weight 10.5Kg Condition wise there are some scuffs on the plastic where it's been on the floor as a monitor, but unmarked otherwise. Also not really been pushed at all and used the built in 70hz HPF at all times. Don't have the ability to post this, but will meet up anywhere really within reason. I'm based in Moreton in Marsh on the Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire/Warwickshire border. Any questions, feel free to ask!
  3. This is a high quality padded fender pedalboard bag. It will either fit a suitably sized board inside or alternatively, the top can be folded under and the bag used as a pedalboard itself due to the Velcro lining. Internal dimensions are roughly 53cm x 22cm x 7cm but any questions, please give me a shout. £35 delivered within the UK
  4. Thought it could be interesting to get a feel for what fx pedals the BC collective are regularly using live that give us our signature sounds with our bands. If there's a particular pedal that is the heart of your sound and you couldn't manage without do let us know. If you have any clips of you making use of particular fx live, even better - please feel free to share! Feel free to tick more than one fx category if you're using regularly i.e. at some point on every gig (I'd just suggest omitting anything that only gets sporadic / occasional use).
  5. I bought this recently for a possible project, but can't be bothered building the Tele that I had in mind. Do, if anyone wants this, the knockdown price includes delivery within the UK.
  6. Exactly, he's a huge inspiration but for a fairly narrow audience. I met someone who claimed to know a guy with eight of Cozy's drum kits.
  7. Lovely Digitech Multi Chorus pedal. Excellent condition, minimal use, comes in original box with manual. £40 delivered within the UK.
  8. Excellent solid and versatile active DI box from Canford Audio, only selling since I have three of these It comes with the instruction leaflet Inputs for Instrument or Amp output. Output jack for Amp input or speaker cab alongside. Balanced XLR output to mixer on the reverse. Instrument input 1.8M ohm impedance - so no loading of amp input or pickups Phantom powered off the mixer XLR or by 9v battery

  9. LA Audio high quality active DI box, very solid construction; comes with an instruction leaflet - which is worth reading since the box is deceptively versatile! This works off an 18v rail so can cope with high or low level signals. Power via phantom from your mixer or 2 x 9v batteries Usefully it has a +20db switch to increase the level of low output devices and with 1M ohm input impedance is compatible with piezo pickups The Input will work with Instrument or Speaker levels ('Pad' switch is for speaker level), isolated XLR output for your mixer and a 'link' output to take the signal on to an amp or cab A separate unbalanced output is available as well as the balanced XLR
  10. Should also add this bass is fitted with Dunlop strap locks. Would consider trades for a Warwick 5 string but not a streamer..
  11. Carole Kaye will surely sue...
  12. I bought this very well upholstered Gator gig bag (current retail £135) for my Guild Starfire bass, but although it fits, its a bit tighter lengthwise than seems sensible, so this has barely been used. It is fairly obviously sized for a Gibson 335 guitar, but will also fit a flying V or a short-scale bass that's a fraction smaller than a Starfire Loads of padding, loads of pockets and a waterproof cover (in pocket 6 on the back, I think - depends how you count the pockets) The padding at the base of the bag can be removed (its on velcro) to give a couple of cm extra space - the quoted overall internal length is without this extra padding fitted Pickup preferred, but I will post it, although I haven't worked out what that would cost, let me know if you're interested and I'll get a price. Internal size: Overall Length: 46.1" (117.09 cm) Body Length: 25.0" (63.5 cm) Body Height: 3.5" (8.89 cm) Lower Bout Width: 17.3" (43.94 cm) Middle Bout Width: 15.4" (39.12 cm) Upper Bout Width: 13.0" (33.02 cm) Exterior Dimensions: Length: 47.8" (121.41 cm) Width: 18.3" (46.48 cm) Height: 6.9" (17.53 cm)

  13. Me too. I've come close to buying a few times, not done it and then wished I had.
  14. Just to update that I did another reset of the desk and reinstalled the latest version of MixPad, and this time all worked without a hitch. I've set the wireless to 5Ghz in case that was the issue, but really have no clue what was stopping it working previously. Just hoping it never recurs! Anyway, a test and play around with an SM58 and some good headphones leaves me very impressed, things sound good. I will definitely (over)use that double tracker effect. Channel compressors sound very good and versatile, lack of sidechain filtering notwithstanding. I think the app layout could be more versatile but the quick channel presets are good enough starting points that it's worth persevering with, just to build up some useful presets. Those who use Mixing Station, is there a way of straightforwardly transferring Mixpad-derived settings? I notice there are no hardware pads on the mic inputs, has anyone found this a problem in practice with e.g. kick drum mics?
  15. Some very exiting bass playing featuring Brett Bass, who I knew nowt about, and the incomparable Wizard of Woo, Bernie Worrell.
  16. Notice the cheeky wee TCE 2x8 cabs, cracking little cabs 👍
  17. Whilst I agree with this in principle there are some practical difficulties. SI units made my professional work much easier (physics - and I am old enough to have used Imperial, cgs, mks and SI) I am now on what will be my last big project, 1780s house restoration. Everything is Imperial (or somewhere close, i.e. whatever was to hand). There are some metric equivalents but also many features that have to be made to size. My working knowledge of Imperial is still useful.
  18. Selling my G&L L2000 USA. It has a few small scratches and there is a paint chip on one of the horns, but otherwise it is a really nice looking bass for a twenty year old instrument. You will not be disappointed by the tonal options you can dial in on this bass. It is literally the Swiss army knife of basses. I have included the Hiscox flight case in the sale. Collection preferred/ can meet up within reasonable distance.

  19. Hi Karabass! Thanks for the Question. Any fretted 4-String Bass can be interessting. A 5er without a super broad Neck would also be interessting.
  20. I bought an allegedly 160kg capacity folding sackbarrow... Not sure what it will actually carry, but I can now bring Markbass 4x10, 4u flightcase with amps, psu and compressor plus flightcased Helix all at once (though you need to bungy 'em!)...
  21. Price Drop To £300
  22. The bass could be anything from a graphite neck maple jazz with EMGs with a 3 band preamp to a sire D5 with flats but I would have thought that a decent overdrive with volume and bass/treble controls would be able to be adjusted to suit. If that's not the case then maybe that's where I am going wrong in not choosing a pedal to suit the bass I am using. I use a TC polytune Mini tuner into a Boss OC-5, TC Thunderstorm Flanger and a Behringer BDI21 for distortion when using a plectrum but I can't get it to sound good fingerstyle. This then goes into my MXR M81 preamp. It then goes to the PA from there. I don't use a wireless as I don't see the point when my IEMs are wired. I hadn't thought about a cab sim before - maybe something to give the sound more of a colour than a full blown overdrive. what is an ss/bs? a google search gives me these options 🤔😂 With Boss type pedals I am fine as the name of them tells you exactly what they do most of the time but most boutique pedal manufacturers tend to use bizarre names that give no clue as to what you're getting. This can also be an issue when I am running through the classifieds as I will tend to ignore something if the name of it doesn't tell you what it is and the OP hasn't explained what it does. I'm off to look at cab sims 👍
  23. How is my gig tonight? Cancelled - singer's got the flu. Baws. Oh well, one of my mates is coming round for a few drams instead. Evening, saved!
  24. I’ve been looking at this for ages too, looks superb, better with cream pick up covers and the colour is 👌👌👌
  25. This is in the wrong feedback thread von Braun. Best wishes.
