There was a band called Navarro looking local to you a few weeks back...
-
I can participate in this thread for the first time - I don't generally have more than one example of a type of bass at one time, but for now at least... I guess there was the time when I briefly had two Squier Jaguar Hs in the house, but the grey one went back to Thomann as it got damaged in transit and they didn't offer me enough of a discount for me to want to keep it.

I agree. A lot of smiles and looks like he's really enjoying it. And making the band really inclusive. A nice change from some taking themselves far too seriously.

You'll come home completely demoralised but you know she'll be amazing. https://www.ronniescotts.co.uk/find-a-show/kinga-glyk?utm_source=fb&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=120225536810600570&utm_term=120225536810610570&utm_content=120225536810590570&utm_id=120225536810600570

I heard it through the grapevine - Marvin Gaye

Most aren't too annoying viewed from the crowd - it looks worse on telly as the camera is far back, high up, zoomed in.

Me, me, me, me, me, virtue signalling, me, me, me, me. Hello mum. Annoying.
-
Not at all - bought purely for looks, I'm not ashamed to admit it. But the Epiphone Probucker 760s are easier to make work in contexts other than rock music, according to my ears anyway - just a bit more open/even sounding. It's all in the EQ though. With enough knob twiddling you can make most basses bend to your will, which is why I don't really care what bass I play, as long as it makes me feel happy and distracts punters from my bag of spanners face...

Question to anyone who's been, and been to one of the main stages. How annoying are the flags? It just looks like, in some places all you'll see is the back of a flag, or sea of poles.

Temporary bodges that just last the course
BillyBass replied to Marky L's topic in General Discussion
In my time as a spark, I have seen a lot of fire or near fires through dodgy electrics. Thankfully, I'm normally called before the house burns down. Mostly, the thermal damage I see comes from 1) Placing a source of heat next to combustible material (halogen downlights fitted underneath joists or next to cables) 2) Loose connections 3) Overloading individual sockets or fused spurs, or multiple extension leads daisy chained. I suppose if there is a thousand to one chance of disaster striking, it will strike eventually if a thousand people try the same bodge. -
I've just put Maccabees on. Good to see them back together. They were one of the first bands I ever saw live in my early teens, and have always been one of my favourites. Was gutted when they split up.

If there's one thing i've learnt in my 50 years on this earth it's to keep politics and religion out of online discourse. I can't fault Kneecap's performance. The video clips before the start of their set were perfect. Musically, Ezra Collective were the standout for me.

Well, in an interesting twist in my search for a stand for my NXT5, there's been an odd twist. I'm not using (or plan to use) the supplied NSD stand; I'm fully paid up for the Framestrap. A few months ago I bought a Hercules GS4stand, possibly the smallest one they make, a GS402B: ... amazingly, the EUB sits comfortably on the two front legs and the swing arms swivel enough to add a bit more support. I've stuck some heavy duty felt pads on the legs to protect metal on wood damage, but frankly, jobs a good 'un. The bass is a couple of inches off the floor and pretty secure.

But surely, when you buy a T Bird, you aren't looking for an all rounder are you. I've been gas free for over 6 months, but I would love one of these.
